To say that I love Christmas would be a gross understatement. I love everything about it: the tree, Christmas lights, the music, the food, the time with family, the cards, the gifts…I could go on and on! Last year in the spirit of the holiday we did the 12 Tags of Christmas. Since many of you joined after that time I’m guessing you may not have seen those tags so make sure to check those out. This year we are doing the 12 ornaments of Christmas! Even though I always knew I could make ornaments using the Pazzles Creative Cutters, I don’t think I really realized the immense potential until we started making ornaments for you guys. There are some really fun and gorgeous things you can do to decorate your tree with your Creative Cutter!
One thing I love about being able to create your own ornaments is you can easily create a themed tree on the cheap. I love themed trees but I can’t give up all my old ornaments that carry so many memories. So I like the idea of having two trees. However that can get pretty spendy! At least this way I don’t have to drop anything more on ornaments! Besides, these homemade paper ones are so much prettier and more interesting. I’m sure your guests will stand and marvel at them just like I do!
Our first ornament is a very simple ornament paper ball made out of 9 circles of paper. These ornaments can be made in any size and are very simple to make but very pretty! Here is the cutting file and instructions, enjoy!
This dimensional star with a suspended snowflake perfectly embodies the spirit of a snowy night. This ornament is pretty simple to assemble but will be a stunning addition to any or even as a hanging decoration for an upcoming Christmas party! Enjoy!
This super simple lantern stick ornament can be a very cute way to fill up your tree. Make multiples in different color combinations and hang all over your tree. They easily work as party decorations too. New Years will be here before you know it!

The thing I love best about this project is how easy it is for kids to glue the pieces together and the final result is a big impact— especially for such a simple pattern. This paper ball is made of 20 smaller circles glued together but has very impressive results. Be careful, making these ornaments can be a bit addictive!
This ornament is a great one to do with kids because you do not need any glue!! It can be cut in a multitude of colors and then let the kids decide how to combine the pieces to make the ornaments. Make the ornament in gold or silver for a sophisticated look. It also lends itself very well to the vintage look. This ornament is so versatile, change the cut outs to hearts, etc. or leave the circles plain and add rhinestones or glitter.

This ornament should really be called the ‘folded-anything’ ornament. The variations are endless and half the fun is deciding what shape to use! Glue as little as 8 layers together or add up to 16 layers for a fuller effect. Solid colors are beautiful, but so are metallics and prints. Alternate red and white for a candy cane effect, use vintage prints and distress for a shabby chic look or add glitter and sparkle with stickles or beads and rhinestones.

I feel like I have been describing a lot of our ornaments as beautiful and easy to make. But really, could there be a better combination? I’m always on the hunt for things that give a big impact with a minimal amount of work and money. So forgive me if I say it again – here is a beautiful and easy to make ornament by Klo! Not only that but it is also a very versatile ornament. You could make the star an to any shape you want and even change the scallops to a different shape or just a different scallop edge. This very cute and very simple ornament definitely deserves a spot on your tree!
Our ornament collection just wouldn’t be complete without a snowflake! This unique snowflake by Stephanie is created by twirling pieces of paper. The cutting file is just several boxes with slits in them. You’ll be surprised how easy it is and how impressive the results are.

This ornament is a snowy winter scene of a moose in the wilderness. This ornament would be great for your cabin or for the hunting or outdoor fans in your life. As with all our other ornaments, this is super easy to make but really paints a beautiful scene and would be a great addition to any tree!
Our 12th ornament is this beautiful Victorian diamond ornament by Stephanie. It is like a piece of art isn’t it? This ornament is perhaps a bit more involved than some of the super easy ornaments we’ve shared with you but still quite easy and the results are worth it!
