St. Patrick’s Day Wearables

Posted by Amanda

Ever wonder where the tradition of being pinched if you do not wear green comes from? The tradition is believed to have started in the 1700′s and is an entirely American thing to do. The Irish believe that wearing green makes you invisible to leprechauns. Leprechauns have a nasty habit of pinching anyone they can see (anyone not wearing green). So pinching your poor friends is a reminder to them that the leprechauns can see them (Source: answers.com). Even though for many of us St. Patrick’s Day is not a holiday we do much for we still all know to wear green or suffer at least a pinch or two that day. Why not have a little fun with it this year and use your Inspiration to add just a touch of Irish pride to you and your kids’ outfits this St. Patrick’s Day? These ideas are super simple and sure to get some great reactions – all pinch free!
