Children of all ages love the idea of a haunted house for Halloween. The younger ones take a special delight in pumpkins and ghosts; just as long as they are not too scary. This dimensional haunted house can be as scary or cute as you want it to be. I have created one that is definitely on the cute side, but you could change the props and add spider webs, bats and monsters to make it more creepy. I will let your imagination take care of the details. ![]()

It is not a quick and easy project but the process of creating it is just as much fun as enjoying it once it is done. Why not let the kids make suggestions on what to add?
The design is on all four sides so you can also suspend it in the air. I like putting small battery operated candles behind it at night. The light shines through the vellum windows. When Halloween is over, fold it flat and store it for another year.
Here is the recipe and cutting file for this project!
