I love how the Inspiration Studio Software gives me the ability to use existing images and alter them to fit my needs. I can cut, rotate, resize and add to the design and come up with something entirely new. Sometimes I just play around to see what emerges! Recently, on our Pazzles Cruise, Klo showed a trick I had never seen before. Actually, I had stumbled upon it but never knew it had any real use. I bet most of you have done the same thing too. 🙂
Have you ever tried to select something and forgot you had the Move Point tool and not the Select Elements tool? Yup! We all have done that, but never really stopped to think what possibilities might be hidden there. Apparently Klo did take the time to discover the hidden trick that the rest of us could not see. Thanks to Klo, I have found a fabulous new trick for manipulating multiple points at one time.
In today’s tutorial, I will show you how to apply this new skill to alter existing images. It is perfect for those times when stretching the design deforms the shape. It also works great when you want to change more that one piece at the same time. Using this trick you can make them exactly the same length with very little fuss.
I show you how to transform three images taken from the Image Gallery, change their form using the Move Point Tool and create entirely new images for a Spring themed scrapbook page. Don’t forget to download the cutting file so that you can follow along while you watch the video. I have also included the cutting file for the scrapbook page as well.
Have Fun!!

Great video. It has been a while since I have been challenged to do something different and I am looking forward to trying this! 🙂
This is AWESOME! Thanks, Christine, for a great lesson! I really needed this, and am anxious to use this in my designing from now on.
My video is scrambled and I can’t see it – what do I need to do to fix it?
I love it when i learn something new for my inspiration. thanks Chris
Every since you put the video up about using the shift bar to go between move point tool and replace with segment tool it has been a god sent…I use the move point tool to change the shapes for a while now…great video…
This is very useful. Thank you!
Thanks for the tip. I know I will use this over and over again.
I am amazed again at how much this software can do, especially when we have such GREAT teachers like Chris and Klo.
Arlys, have you been able to see the video? You might need to update your Quicktime plugin (both for PC and Mac): http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
Thanks for all the comments on the video!! I used this technique several times while designing today. I think it is a favorite in my design arsenal.
