Carrot Box and Memory Game

Easter Basket Carrot Candy Boxes and Game Box Spread

A beautiful lattice carrot treat box and Easter Egg memory game will be the perfect addition to any Easter basket this year! The text and video below will explain more about how these were made using tools in the Inspiration Studio Pro software. If you do not own that software, you can just download the files and get to cutting!

In today’s video, Michelle and I want to show you to some quick tricks for adding a little extra flair to your projects. A design can be changed from so-so to terrific by adding a few decorative accents to the cutting lines. It doesn’t matter if you like everything fancy and lacy or you are a clean and simple type of crafter. These tricks are for all style types and all skill levels.

If you are new to Inspiration Studio software, you may not have discovered the Scissors Tools yet. Michelle made a cute Easter Egg Memory game and added decorative edges and accents using several different scissor shapes. Michelle just recently discovered the Scissors Tool herself. Her excitement reminded me just how fun it is to have control of the outcome of a design instead of just using a ‘canned’ image.

If you have Inspiration Studio Pro software, we also show another way to add extra pizzazz to a project. The Lattice Tool is an incredible time-saver. You can make lattice windows in a matter of seconds with the tool. In the video I show how to make a lattice like we used on the Memory Cards and the Carrot Treat boxes in the basket.  If you don’t have the Pro software, you can learn how to make lattice by watching the video ‘How to Make Grid (Lattice) Windows’ in Building on the Basics.

Although these are Easter-themed projects, you can easily change the card shape to fit any theme. The Carrot Treat box can be used in a gardening gift basket or as a kitchen-themed gift too. I show how to assemble the carrot box at the end of the video so be sure to check it out.

Have Fun!

These are so cute. I wish that I had had my machine while I was a teacher because I used to make the Memory Game cards by hand for my kids. It would take several nights to accomplish. This would have been so much easier.

I love the carrot. It is so cute. I have some lady friends who I know would love to get these with some chocolates in them!

Is there a way to watch this video full screen?

Some of the vidoes (non Quick time perhaps?) have an option on the bottom right hand corner where you can click on it and the video will be shown full screen…..otherwise, I have to keep rolling my screen up and down to follow the videos. I’m not seeing this option on this video. Thanks!
