Red, white and blue is beginning to make an appearance here in the US as we prepare for the biggest barbecue party of the summer, Independence Day on the Fourth of July. As a child I looked forward to the Fourth of July the entire year. My birthday falls on the third of July and my father’s birthday on the fifth. With three days of holidays in a row and a grandfather who was notorious for buying boxes and boxes of fireworks, the holiday was always one huge party that lasted three days.
In honor of this spectacular holiday I’ve created four patriotic shaped cards that can be used as invitations, greeting cards, and even as decorations. We’ve used the adorable Stars & Stripes Collection from Doodlebug Designs for our sample cards and it fits the bill perfectly. The cards include a shaped insert piece that can be used with our pen tool to create a custom sentiment or invitation.
