Starting last Friday and continuing today, we have four weeks of projects designed to help you haunt your house for Halloween. From vinyl to iron-on, we will be showcasing how to make boutique worthy projects with your Pazzles Creative Cutter and some of the specialty media we offer. Stay tuned each week and we promise you will be ready to host little ghosts and goblins in style.
Add an eerie, yet elegant look to your Halloween decor’ this year. This Eerie Victorian Wall Hanging will look great hanging anywhere in your home, even the formal dining room or living room.
I cut out Pazzles Iron On using the gold and white from the solid pack. When I applied it to the Velvet Canvas from Canvas Corp, I found I needed to support it a little from the back, so I used a box behind it to help. I put the gold on first, then added the white. For more instructions on using the iron on, I recommend watching this Iron It On video.
I then cut out the rhinestone pattern on the rhinestone material to create my template. I used 3 different stone sizes of 6ss, 10ss and 16ss, all from the crystal pack. To make it a little easier, I put the 16ss in the template first, then the 10ss and finally the 6ss. This made it easier and I didn’t have to remove small stones from the large holes. Before cutting your rhinestone template, I recommend watching the Rhinestone Starter Kit video to help teach you the basics.
I also added two siam ruby rhinestones from the Autumn 20ss pack to the center, just to add a drop of color.
Because I wanted to give the piece just a little more ‘eeriness’, I went and got the cheap spider webbing and stretched a little across the canvas to finish it off.
I am putting this in my living room near my door, I wonder how many friends will love it as much as I do.
Happy Haunting!
