We wrapped up our Haunt Your House series last week and after four weeks of Halloween home décor it is hard to stop the creative wheels from turning. Pazzles Owner and Designer Holly put together one more project to share with you today, a hanging Halloween mobile. This mobile looks more time consuming than it is and it is easy to assemble. It makes a stunning statement hanging among your other Halloween decorations and is a great project for using up scraps of paper.
Holly chose nine different Craft Room Library files to use for this project. She used Curvy Ghost , Black Cat, Moon, Bat, Magic Frog (Witch Hat), Spider, Spider Web, 3 Punkins, Boo to You. To size them all in proportion to one another, she simply drew a square with the desired dimensions in the Inspiration Studio Software and then resized each of her files to fit within the square. She also added small holes in the top and bottom of each image. Holly has provided the file below to save you this step.
To assemble the project Holly layered and glued each of the pieces together. For the moon she created a stencil with the layer pieces and chalked the details onto the white moon. The fuzzy legged spiders get their look from chunky glitter added to their legs. The ghost and spider webs were cut from Pazzles Stencil Plastic for a spooky translucent look. After each of the pieces were ready, she connected them with jump rings. The spiders were added with embroidery floss at different heights along the bottom and then each long strand of shapes were hung from a gold hoop. Holly added gold ribbon to the top to hang the entire project from.
This ideas can be customized for any holiday or theme. Holly also created another hanging mobile using various shades of pink for her daughter’s birthday.

I really like this! I’ve also been working on one for myself.
How fun. Im thinking instead of using them on a mobile I am going to make them longer and use them as a door curtian. Lovin’ the purple witch hats!!
