Welcome 2014 Party Hat

New-Years-Party-Hat

Happy New Year to all my fellow Pazzler’s.  It has been a challenging year for me, as I have been a Pazzles Design Team Member for the best part of the 2013.  I have learnt so much about being part of a Design Team, but more importantly I have learnt so much more about my Pazzles Inspiration and capability of the software.  It has been an enjoyable creative journey and I hope those of you that have received a new Pazzles Inspiration Creative Cutter from Santa, will share your creative journey with fellow Pazzler’s here in the Pazzles Craft Room.

To celebrate the New Year, I thought I would make a 15 minute, simple, 3D project. This Party Hat can be made for your celebrations today, or future celebrations, such as birthdays or baby showers, by just changing the papers and embellishments.

I have used the Party Hat cutting file found in the Pazzles Craft Room Library.  Once cut out, it is easy to assemble.  I used some extra strong double sided tape and a staple at the base of the hat to ensure it was secured. I cut out the trim of the hat using coordinating paper and I used a variety of stickers from the Carta Bella paper pack to decorate. I cut a number of thin strips of coordinating patterned paper, and then curled them using my bone folder for the decoration on the top of the hat.

Sending good wishes, health and happiness for the year ahead, not forgetting lots of enjoyable crafting time!

~Joanna

What a great take on this project! I actually made some of these for a birthday party recently and wish I had seen your idea of the top strips as they really make this hat extra special!
