Brrrr! Its cold outside and winter is in full swing. Soon all the holidays will be over, the Christmas décor will come down and we will be writing 2015 on our checks before we know it! I like to keep my house festive and fun during the winter months as they are usually the months we spend the most time inside.
I created these little deer tea lights to add a little sparkle to my kitchen table winter scene. They are very simple to assemble and are a fun addition to my table.
I cut the entire file from brown cardstock. It’s important that you use cardstock and not a regular weight paper as the deer’s legs have to support the tea light. I used some fake snow and the Ruffled Christmas Tree file to make my winter scene. The kiddos turn the lights on every time we sit down to eat. They love them and they really add a little fun to our winter décor. The tea lights should last all winter but if they should happen to burn out they are easily changed.
I think they would make great table favors or place cards for a winter brunch. I also think they would be cute wearing scarfs and boots for even more fun!
I hope you enjoy making these deer tea lights, and that they bring a little winter cheer to your family!
