Today’s project is something totally different and fun and I hope you’ll love it. Watching the recipient pull this card out of the envelope is so much fun and I can guarantee your card will be the most unique and most impressive. I’ve created three versions of this card for upcoming occasions: Graduation, Father’s Day, and the birth of a new baby. If the three designs I’ve provided don’t suit you, you can use any of the images in the Craft Room Library to create your own using the same idea.
Now on to assembly. I didn’t include directions because they are so easy to assemble. Each piece has a matching silhouette. To start off the card, choose the first (top) image in your pull out card and place a line of adhesive down the middle of the silhouette backing piece. Lay your string down the middle of the backing piece.
Attach the pull tab at the top of the silhouette piece as well. Now layer your paper pieces onto the silhouette sandwiching the string in the middle. Only the top image gets the pull tab, but continue sandwiching your string through each image. Note: Don’t assemble your pieced, layered designs first thinking you can then adhere them to the silhouette, as they may not match up. Instead, use the silhouette piece as your guide for assembling the top piece.
Use a premade envelope or make the one included in the file and accordion fold your images into the envelope, putting the top image with the pull tab in last. The recipient will open the envelope, see the pull tab and pull the card out!
