I Heart You Card

i heart you

Melinda here with you today with a clean, yet elegant Valentine’s Day card.  I started with the heart vine craft room exclusive cut file. I cut out both the heart vine shape and the background mat in black cardstock. I then painted some white pearl paint on the black cardstock. It ended up giving the cardstock a silvery look which was a pleasant surprise. I chose to leave only one layer of paint to keep the “streaked, only semi-opaque” appearance.

I then used some of the pretty patterned paper from the Craft Smith Silver Foil paper stack. I layered my mats onto a 5.5 x 5.5 base and used some foam tape to give them a little lift. I added some gems for a little flair and then I used a stamp from my stash to stamp the I heart you onto the banner. I gave the banner a little lift by attaching it on the sides of the heart. I didn’t want the banner to lay flat on the heart. That’s it! Easy peasy. Let my Pazzles and the paper do the majority of the work for me!
