15 Minute Projects

Quick and easy projects using images from the Craft Room Library

Cleaning

Spring Cleaning Cutting Collection

This cute Spring Cleaning Cutting Collection might just convince you that cleaning looks fun. At least I'm hoping that it works on my children. I created this little chore chart for our refrigerator so I can assign chores. When they've completed their chore, they can move the chore off their name. I love these little miniature icons and I'll probably make a name tag for myself so I can move the little pieces around too. I'm always looking for excuses to play with paper.

Shaped Pocket Cards and Tags Cutting Files

Shaped Pocket Cards and Tags

Pick a pocket and stuff it full of love, well wishes and maybe even a gift card or cash. These cards look fancy, but are very easy to make. Cut them out with three cuts and assemble them, or dress them up with embellishments. When your card is finished, they tuck inside a #10 envelope. I've included a file for the envelope liner which simply slips inside.

Spring Wreath Printables

Spring Wreath Print and Cut ...

In real life I stink at making wreaths. I've tried and failed a few times, so I was pleasantly surprised when my paper wreaths turned out. I created these wreaths in the InVue software and it turns out having an undo button is a handy thing. If there was an undo button in real life I'm sure I could master real wreath making too.

Easter Pillow Boxes

Easter Pillow Boxes

Using files from the library I created this easy window pillow box for Easter but it could so easily be adapted for any occasion!

Easter Peeps Printable Treats

I love sending treats to my Grandkids and using my InVue software makes it so easy to send personalized treats. First I started with a basic rectangle as wide as my sandwich baggie. I knew it was going to be a topper so I doubled the size so I could fold it over. Then, using the Spring Borders Set 2 file I choose the border I liked and sized it to fit my project.

Instant Film Shaker Cards

Today let’s use an old idea to make something new. Instant photos have become the rage as of late. I have chosen to use an “instant film" cutting file to make greeting cards. In the Pazzles’ Craft Room Library you will find a pre-designed scrapbook title named Snapshots. I used only the “instant film” of this title for my card. I increased the picture to 3 inches wide. That is a good size to fit on a 4.5 X 6 inch card. You will see that I made a plain picture as well as some with words at the bottom. The words add a tad bit more fun. We can make it even more festive by adding confetti to the “picture.” This means that the photo portion of the “instant film” needs a “window.”

Shaped Number Notecards from Pazzles

Shaped Number Gift Tags

We're finishing up our typography week with Number Shaped Gift Tags. I love shaped cards and I know many of you have asked for more shaped cards in the Craft Room. Today I am bombarding you with 25 number shaped cards. The downloadable files include numbers 1-20 and 30,40,50,60 and 70. The files are sized for gift tags, but you can certainly enlarge the file and make them as regular sized cards. These cards can be used to mark a child's birthday or special event. The simple graphic design of the number card makes it perfect for teenagers too. I've included 30,40,50,60 and 70 to include significant birthdays and to mark special anniversaries.

Life Is Like A Bicycle

Life Is Like a Bicycle ...

Have you ever used your Pazzles Inspiration or Vue to create printables or wall art? The software is so much more than a tool to cut, draw, emboss, pierce, distress etc. It offers a world of possibility for creative expression in so many ways. With so many files available in the Pazzles Craft Room, we are able to create just about anything for any occasion. Recipe for total typography fun – many Craft Room files – a quote obsession/collection – and a font collection/obsession mix together and voila! By selecting a saying or quote that you love, all you need to do is play around with the fonts and sizing together with a Craft Room file or two to ‘decorate’ it. Song lyrics are great for this too.

Wine Cork Projects: Wine Cork Fairies

Wine Cork Fairies

Basil and her friend Thyme have been busy working in their fairy gardens in the wine vineyards here in Idaho. They can tell spring is right around the corner, and have been getting things ready for cherished friends to come visit. If you've been doing a little spring cleaning of your own, don't forget to sit back and enjoy a little relaxation over a glass of wine. Perhaps the garden fairies will fly by to help with the chores and sprinkle a little magic along the way.

Hopes and Dreams Journal

Hopes and Dreams Journal

With every new year there's a quest to learn something new, adopt healthy habits, and start setting new goals. It's nice to have a place that you can write down your thoughts, motivational quotes, and keep track of what you plan to accomplish. I purchased this Wexford Composition Book 9.75" x 7.5" for under $3.00 at my local Walgreens store. I loved the fact that I can decorate it with my favorite paper line, and take advantage of all the scraps I collect. It's a great way to use up fibers too, and leave bits and pieces hanging from the pages. The busier, the better, and the ideas are endless!

Easy Classroom Valentine Ideas

Classroom Valentine Roundup

Last week we shared easy classroom valentine ideas here on the blog. It's a yearly tradition in the Pazzles Craft Room to devote a week to this theme. We have lots of new members since last Valentine's Day so I thought it would be fun to do a little roundup of our most popular classroom valentine ideas. We've done the easy classroom valentines for five years now, so there are many, many ideas for you with cutting files included. You can browse all of the Valentine ideas here in the Projects section, but here are a few of our most popular classroom valentine ideas. Owl Valentine

Decorative File Folders

Being organized is a great feeling, but being organized with cute office supplies is even better. Create labels and covers that you can adhere on the front and inside of any standard pre-purchased file folder.

Organization Week: Garden Stakes

It’s that time of the year. The holidays are over, all the decorations are safely packed away, and the family has all gone home. If you are anything like me you have probably already broken half of your New Year’s resolutions. Now its time to organize, and this year I’m going to organize my garden. Every year my hubby plants my garden and always throws away the plant tags before I can get to them. This year with the help of the new InVue software and the Pazzles Craft Room I made these cute garden stakes.

New Years Eve Crackers

I was not aware of “crackers” until I became an adult. They are just as fun for me as for kids! There are two cracker files in the Pazzles Craft Room that you can use for any special occasion, Cracker Box and Cracker Box 2 . Today I have dressed them up for New Years! These are very easy to assemble. I also added Print & Cut images from the Happy New Year Title as a bonus decoration.

Deer Tea Light Holders

Brrrr! Its cold outside and winter is in full swing. Soon all the holidays will be over, the Christmas décor will come down and we will be writing 2015 on our checks before we know it! I like to keep my house festive and fun during the winter months as they are usually the months we spend the most time inside. I created these little deer tea lights to add a little sparkle to my kitchen table winter scene. They are very simple to assemble and are a fun addition to my table.

Pen Tool Ornament Bauble

Pen Tool Ornament Bauble

There are some great tools available to use with your Pazzles Inspiration or Vue. One my favourites is the Pazzles Pen Tool There is so much you can do with it. I like to use it to draw an outline of text in a fancy font and then free-hand colour in the rest of the design. This works particularly well with glitter pens. Today, I’ve chosen a simple, yet elegant Holiday Bulb file with lovely detail to be drawn in metallic blue pen on pale blue cardstock. I created an outline for the bulb too and then cut it out so it could be the feature for my holiday card. This file can be resized however you'd like it to fit your project, and would make a great file for a group of cards in the same design in different coloured card stock and metallic or glitter pen.

Christmas Print and Cut Sticker ...

Joanna here with a quick Print and Cut project for you to make your own Christmas sticker labels. I decided to make several sheets of stickers to add as decoration to my brown paper wrapping using my Pazzles Inspiration Vue. I have used several of Miss Kate Cuttables files which I imported into my software. On the larger present, to the front left of the photo I used the Be Merry Title. You just need to spend a few moments layering up the elements. I constantly referred to the image in the Pazzles Craft Room, to help align everything up correctly. I also used a selection of the Christmas Tags in the Pazzles Library and followed the same process. I removed the ribbon holes on some of the designs as they were not required for stickers. Once the title and tags were looking how I wanted, I made an outline of the outer cutting line. As I was putting my stickers onto brown wrapping paper, I thought a white outline would make the stickers stand out on my presents.
