15 Minute Projects

Quick and easy projects using images from the Craft Room Library

Mason Jar Tag

Mason Jar Butterfly Tag

I love giving handmade gifts to my friends and I always think a handmade tag or card just makes the gift complete. For my Design Team project I decided to have a go at painting a jam jar, popular brand names are Mason or Kilner. They can be bought cheaply from Home Décor stores in the USA and here in the UK. I looked up a few tutorials on the internet, on how to decorate my glass jar to accompany my flowers and tag.

Baby Shower Frog Gift Box

Baby Frog Gift Card Box

Gift cards are great for baby showers, as this allows for the mom to be to buy exactly what she needs. I thought it would be a great idea to dress up a packaging box I had saved. I used the Baby Frog, Ribbon Slot Borders and Scallop Mat files which can all be found in the Craft Room Library. Tuck cash or gift card inside this gift card box and you are ready to go.

Baby Week: Baby Shower Banner ...

I hope you are enjoying celebrating babies here at Pazzles. The cuteness is limitless! I have used the Dimensional Bow from the Craft Room to create a darling pink banner to welcome a baby girl. At first I was going to use only one layer for the bows. I was worried that the bows would come out too big, but I am glad I used other layers. So Cute! You can always change the size, but I went with the imported size. This file is so easy to use. You will want to make extra bows to spread throughout the room! In the center of the banner, I have used the Onesie file from the Craft Room to announce the baby’s sex. It is strung together with a coordinating, but bright, hemp string.

Cut And Paste Sketches: File ...

I've mentioned before my love of paper started with office supplies and I admit I still love them. The back to school section of Target makes me giddy. Today's card was inspired by office supplies. This little file folder tab card would look even better held together with a big paperclip. Have fun with this design!

Goodbye Braces Celebration

Ha! I love this. By now you know that I like dimensional creations. I like the challenge of taking a Pazzles files and doing something out of the ordinary with them. When the Perfect Smile Card appeared in the Pazzles Craft Room Library, I could not resist it! Do you have a young (or not so young) person in your life that is finally getting their braces off? Here is a cute and easy idea to celebrate that occasion. I used that Perfect Smile to make napkins rings! I just cut a 7" by 1" strip of coordinating paper for the ring and attached the smile.

Up and Away Glitter Balloon ...

Sometimes you just need a quick and simple card. For my card I used a 9 ½" x 6 ½" base. I used the Balloons cutting file as well as the Pocket Scrapbooking Banners which can be found in the Pazzles Craft Room Library. I decided to remove the balloon cut out and add a glitter balloon cut out instead. I then went ahead and created a sentiment using the Pocket Scrapbooking Banners and my Pen Tool. I drew some balloon strings and in just minutes I had a card ready to send out.

Chalkboard Art Card

I just love the chalkboard look on cards. Inspired by a lovely saying that I found online, I created this note card using my Pen Tool. I created a perforated outline for the note card and then set my text in place. For my card base I used a 7" x 5" base. I used the draw tool to create two stars.

Treasure Chest Gems Cutting Collection: ...

I will be hosting a girls brunch, and tea in the next few weeks. My guest of honor will be getting married and I wanted to find a way to let her know how much of a treasure her friendship is to me. I created the Treasure Chest Gems Cutting Collection with 12 different gems and a treasure chest so that I could make my own treasure. I thought it would be perfect to bling out some doughnuts with some pirate's booty and turn them into rings. I can send my guests away with a treasure chest of doughnut rings and a little note that says, "Ahoy, me hearty!" I hope you find a fun way to use this collection, and use it in a way that inspires all your "mateys".

Sea Creatures Package Toppers

Thanks for joining us for Beach Week. I hope we have you dreaming of warm sunny places! If you can't make it to a real beach, bring the ocean to you. These friendly little sea creatures are perfect for finishing off a gift or adding to a lunch box. There are no instructions included today, as these are simple paper piecings. And now it's time for a little ocean humor!

Gum Tube Sand Shovel Favor

Are you having a sizzling summer? Then it’s time to cool off at the beach. Grab your sand bucket, shovel and let’s go! Today I want to show you an idea for a party favor or gift box. I started with the Pazzles Craft Room file Sandy Bucket. There is sand, a bucket and a shovel. You will see that I altered the original pattern just a tad. I wanted a separate shovel that was more or less 3 dimensional. I enlarged that pattern so that I would have a finished creation large enough to hold a gift as well as the gum tube that I used to make the shovel. To make a sand bucket, I needed to increase the size of the Takeout Box (5-A from the software library). Because the box is so large, I had to cut it by making it two pieces. I also cut the box without its top.

DIY Mustache Wrapping Paper

Designing your own digital papers using your software is incredible easy! Make a great wrapping paper with matching card with mustaches or any designs you want!

Paper Necktie

This paper tie project might just be the perfect way to do more than just create cute cards and layouts—you can wear your designs too! Have fun making this simple sentiment of love and send dad off to work in style.

Nesting Birds Print & Cut ...

Recently, Pazzles has been providing us with some lovely sketches which include cutting files ready for download available in the Pazzles Craft Room. If you have not tried any of the Cut And Paste Sketches so far, I urge you to have a go. Once you have downloaded the sketch cutting file all you need to do is import the sketch cutting file into your Pazzles software. For my project I used the Circle Spotlight Card sketch. Now the difficult bit…….decisions! Choose your coordinating paper and cardstock and cut according to the design. You don’t even need to stick to the design and you can use all, some, or one element(s) of the design in your project.

DIY Scrapbook Embellishments: Flowers

I have so many scraps left from all my projects. I’ve decided to use some of my scraps to make some flower embellishments. How fun to just make them ahead of time in different colors and sizes using all of our scraps. This way when we’re working on a project it will be much easier to just go and pull out what we need. There are so many beautiful flower cutting files in the Craft Room Library. I decided to start my embellishment collection with the Large Flower and the Flower Bunch cutting files which can all be found in the Library. I simply set the cutting file at the size I wanted. I added a dimensional square between each layer of a flowers to help give more dimension. I then chalked and embellished with either a rhinestone, brad, or pearl for the centers. Now I will have an assortment of flower embellishments to add to any project.

DIY Scrapbook Embellishments: Bicycles and ...

I love to bike ride. It’s so nice to breathe the fresh air. It makes me feel so carefree… until I have to pedal up a steep hill! I have always loved the novelty of tandem bikes and wished I had one…so someone else could pedal! I made five different embellishments to help me savor the feeling I get when I ride my bike! I hope they will inspire you and help you get your scrapbooking page or card put together in a snap. Though I chose a bike theme, these embellishments can be turned into any theme you can imagine. Instead of using the quote, "I would go anywhere with you. On a bicycle built for two”. You could say “If friends were flowers, I would pick you”. Then change the pictures of the bicycles to pictures of flowers. All the embellishments using images or quotes were cut out using the print and cut technique.

Candy Bowties

Candy Filled Bow Ties for ...

My dad is a hard man to give gifts to. He really doesn't have any hobbies besides reading and attending all of his grand kids sporting events. Nothing themed ever fits the bill for his gifts. He doesn't hunt, fish, golf or do any of the other manly things fathers do. As a result he usually gets a new book or two and a treat for every major holiday. I've learned you really can't go wrong with candy. And although my dad doesn't wear bow ties either, this year he's getting his candy with a bit of style. There are two versions of today's project. The first is a simple tag to attach to a bag of candy. I've included tags sized for both the larger bags of candy and the individual sized bags.

Cut And Paste Sketches: Scallop ...

I have some tiny little tag stickers that I bought years ago. The company was going out of business and I wanted to make sure I never ran out, so I bought several packages. These little sticker tags are the cutest things. Most of them are only about 1/2" tall and they look aged and vintage. This card was inspired by the sticker tags. Cut out your own tags and make them the centerpiece of your card.

Tri-Shutter Mother’s Day Card

I love creating pretty, and heartfelt projects for other people to enjoy, and with Mother's Day this month, I took this as an opportunity to test out one of the new Fun Folds Cards from the Fun Folds 2 Collection. For this project I chose the Tri Shutter Card and went to work on bringing it to life. I had some pretty Kaisercraft paper in my stash, which is double sided so it took the 'pain' out of selecting a coordinating paper from a rather large collection of patterned paper. All I had to do after cutting out the base and mats was turn over a few pieces to break up the design, ink them and secure them to get ready for the fun part of adding embellishments!

Sun And Cloud Gift Box

It’s Sunshine Week at Pazzles! All this week we are sharing sunshine inspired projects to warm your hearts and inspire some bright, cheerful crafting! Goodbye winter! Hello Sunshine! I am a sunshine kinda girl and I am glad winter is behind us in the US. I decided to celebrate the warmer weather with a sunny project. I made this sunshine box using the Sunshine Title, the Scallop Sunshine file, and the St. Patrick’s Day Pot of Gold Treat Box. I used vinyl for the lettering because I love the fact that you transfer all the letters at once and they are already lined up. No glue, no fuss. I followed the directions that are provided with the St. Patrick’s Day Pot of Gold Treat Box to assemble the box, but I moved the cloud to the left side and instead of using the pot of gold, I substituted the Scallop Sunshine file.

Sun and Clouds Shaped Card

It’s Sunshine Week at Pazzles! All this week we are sharing sunshine inspired projects to warm your hearts and inspire some bright, cheerful crafting! I really enjoy making shaped cards. It just adds so much more to a card. With sunshine in mind, I decided to create a sunshine shaped card. For this card I used the Cloud and Sunshine Border file. I simply sized the sun to 6", mirrored and duplicated the sun, and then joined and welded the two sides together. I then went ahead and cut a circle to fit on the inside as well as on the outside. For the outer circle I used dimensional squares to add dimension. I created a sentiment with the Ribbon Banners cutting file and used my printer to print. I also embossed the circle and added some clouds along with some stickles highlights. I finished off my card by adding some rhinestone accents.

Filled With Sunshine Sunburst Card

It’s Sunshine Week at Pazzles! All this week we are sharing sunshine inspired projects to warm your hearts and inspire some bright, cheerful crafting! Everyone’s birthday should be filled with sunshine! I made this birthday card with the Sun Ray Card 2 file from the Craft Room Library. First of all I used a premade card base that measures 5.5" x 4". Then I used two different shades of yellow for the rays to make it bright and cheerful.

Sunshine Shaped Card

It's Sunshine Week at Pazzles! All this week we are sharing sunshine inspired projects to warm your hearts and inspire some bright, cheerful crafting! Hello Pazzles friends, Melin here today, sharing a super easy and fun card with you. I used the new Spellbinders Digital Die Small Octagon Collection to create this card. I used some pretty paper from the DCWV Baby Girl Stack. It was so bright and cheery and was just the right color palette for a cheerful and “sunshiny” card. I started by welding the two bases together to create the card base. I cut that layer in plain white cardstock. I then cut the next layer in the patterned paper and then the next layer in some tangerine Bazzill cardstock.

Bee Happy Print & Cut ...

It is that time of the year when the birds are singing, the sun is shining and the flowers are blooming……..so we should all try and “Bee Happy”. I made my shaped card using one of the elements from the Banner Box cutting file in the Pazzles Library. As you know I love making shaped cards and if you follow the Video Tutorial called Making Shaped Cards, you also will find them easy and fun to make.
