What’s Up (Q&A)

Cut Marks on Your Mat

It can sometimes be hard to determine what pressure settings to use. Often times our mats have the tell tale signs of trial and error while we work on getting the perfect combination of blade length and pressure. I will admit that I hang on to my mats for a very long time. Here at Pazzles we, just like you, try to make our mats last as long as possible. The result is some very well loved mats!

Don’t Forget to Turn Your ...

I have a certain set up here at work where I keep my Inspiration and all of my paper supplies I need to test cut my creations. I love how convenient it is to create something on my computer and then simply turn on my Inspiration and cut my project. With all the paper right here at my finger tips I hardly have a reason to leave my desk. However, one little problem I have is forgetting to turn my Inspiration off at the end of the day.

The Difference Between Registering Your ...

I have been receiving so many questions in regards to the Pro software. I’m very happy that you’re all so excited by the benefits of upgrading to this version and hope it has you all creating wonderful projects and fancy rhinestone images.

Test Cutting Your Projects

I have a hard time throwing things away as I’ve probably mentioned before. I will save almost every scrap piece of paper I have. In fact, I have a hefty stack of papers at my desk now that are really piling up. I always like the idea of having scrap pieces of paper for small projects, and they’re always great to have on hand to run test cuts of the files I’ve created.

Disappearing Tool Bars

Who doesn’t love a good magic show that has a great disappearing act? However when it comes to looking for things in the software, it is not as much fun searching for icons that disappear. If you ever find that you are on the search for your tool bars that disappear in the software there is a location where you will be able to find all your tool bars.

What is That Sound?

Have you ever been cutting a project and all of a sudden the Inspiration will make a shuddering sound and perhaps a “pop” noise that goes along with it?

Using the Designer Chat Feature

I have to admit that I’m not much of a phone person. I love the ability texting provides to ask a quick question and get an immediate response. Our designer chat works the same way. If you’re in the middle of working on a project and have a quick how to question, jump online and ask a Pazzles representative. We are always happy to answer your questions and help you complete those last minute projects.

There’s “Sew” Much You Can ...

The crafting world isn't exclusively for paper crafting and our Inspiration has found a place in the homes of crafters of all kinds. We have a lot of designers, jewelers, and a number of quilters excited about using our machine as well. We are making scissors a thing of the past! With that in mind I thought I would address the big fabric question. So many of you often ask this question: is the Inspiration capable of cutting fabric?

What Can the Craft Room ...

I will admit I’m not much of a shopper. In fact, I’m the kind of girl that goes shopping to get that must have outfit for a special event or occasion with the hopes I don’t have to go shopping again for a while. I love the whole process of shopping online, because it keeps me at home in my PJ’s on Saturday mornings, and who doesn’t love that?! Unfortunately there can be times that I visit my favorite online stores and wonder how I missed the clearance special, or why I never noticed those great pair of shoes that were 40% off last week. I want your experience with our website to be about getting the most bang for your buck, and there is so much more to take advantage of than just visiting what’s new on the front page.

Keeping Extra Supplies on Hand

I’m often asked what additional items should be purchased or kept on hand at all times to use with the Inspiration. I would love to make a list that included all of our tools, several packs of vinyl (we have some amazing colors, you should check them out!) every color of rhinestone and our CD’s too. We all know it’s not necessary to have all those things, but wouldn’t it be nice!? By just keeping the basics on hand you’ll never be in a pinch.

Pressure Settings

Spring isn’t here yet, but if you saw my closet you would all be telling me, “Tatum, it’s time to do some spring cleaning”! The problem is that as soon as I throw something away, it’s just a few short weeks or days later that I need it again. This happens with clothes, recipes, newspapers, you name it — I hate throwing things away but I struggle to keep it all organized! In my attempt to do some spring cleaning on my computer here at work, I was able to find a document on the pressure settings that I use for specific materials. I was also pleasantly surprised when Amanda pointed out to me that we have a similar document with many more materials and they are all neatly organized.

Blinking Lights

It’s pretty easy to get discouraged when it comes to technology. In a fast paced world we expect everything to run at lightning speed. However, that’s not always the case when it seems technology can often times have a mind of its own.

Cutter Glide and Your Blade

I’ll admit that almost all of my knives I use for preparing dinner at home need to be sharpened. I could barely cut through a tomato last night for dinner which got me thinking about the Inspiration blades. Yes, even though I may go home at the end of the day, my brain is still “Pazzling”. With a job this fun, it’s a pretty easy thing to do! To extend the life of your blade and get better cutting results, you’ll have to check out our Cutter Glide product.

Varying Pressure Settings

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. I was very excited to process so many orders through the Christmas season. New orders mean new customers who help contribute to our wonderful community of Inspiration users here in the Craft Room. So with new customers comes an array of new questions. While this may seem like a beginner question to some, it’s also a great question to remind our seasoned Inspiration users of as well.

Saving Images From the Image ...

I love designing cutting files and as part of my job here at Pazzles it’s important that I don’t misplace or lose the images I’ve created for the image library in the Craft Room. After all—I’m designing them for you! I like the convenience of knowing that everything I’m creating for Pazzles is in one location. It helps keep me organized and it’s a sure fire way to ensure that I don’t misplace or lose the images I’ve worked so hard to create. Nothing is worse than working on a cutting file to find that you don’t remember the location you saved it to, or the name of the cutting file to do a search. I have found that it makes life a lot easier if I know they’re all in one location on my computer and here’s how I do it.

What is a Dongle Key?

There has been a lot of discussion about the Dongle Key on not only our forums and blogs, but others as well. I thought this would be a great time to clarify any confusion about the Dongle Key, and what functions it contributes to your Inspiration Studio Pro software.

Software Installation Limits

With Christmas right around the corner it’s that time of year when we start to think about all the magical things that come with the holidays like making gifts and traveling to see loved ones. Of course as you prepare for all of your holiday festivities you might find yourself asking a few questions to make sure you can bring your Inspiration along for all the fun.

Installing Your Inspiration Removable Rollers

Have you had the opportunity to check out the new pastry tool? For those of you who are already busy making yummy treats for family and friends, you know what a great addition this tool is to your Inspiration. Who said that the Inspiration was only for paper?! Not only will the pastry tool add an extra pound or two, it can add heaps of smiles when you present your latest edible creation to your loved ones.

Inspiration Updates

We love having the ability to give our Inspiration users added features to the software as well as to the Inspiration. If you haven’t already done the updates, please visit us at www.Pazzles.com to download the most recent updates that we have available.

Finding New Life in Old ...

When it comes to mats it can be crazy to see the amount of debris that you can see left behind by different paper and fabric products. Of course I can’t tell you how many mats I’ve destroyed by getting glitter on them. It never seems like my crafting area is big enough! Sometimes it seems like a balancing act just to complete a project with my limited amount of space. The best way to keep your mats tacky is by keeping them clean and following a few tricks that have always worked well for me!

Installing the Inspiration Studio Pro ...

We have had a lot of excited customers who recently purchased the Inspiration Studio Pro software. I love hearing from all of you and how you are excited about all the abilities you have with the Inspiration Studio Pro software. When you get ready to install your Inspiration Studio Pro software for the first time, you might find yourself wondering this same question that Betty asked.

Humidity and the Quality of ...

I love the rain and here in Idaho if the weather man says it’s supposed to be sunny, it will snow. If he says it’s going to be cloudy and windy, it’s going to be a sunny beautiful day. I can’t really blame it all on the weather man, after all this is Idaho weather we’re talking about! I think Fall is finally on her way and to make her big debut she is bringing the rain with her today, but I’m absolutely loving it! Summer is over and we’ve probably seen the last of the hot days. In the desert areas like we live in winter also means a lot more moisture and humidity than we are used to. That extra humidity also means that my paper and the pressure and blade length that I use with my Inspiration can start to change a bit too.

Using Your 12×24 Mats

I’m amazed after every trip to my local scrapbooking stores here in Boise, Idaho. It seems like the trends change weekly truth is, they actually do! I think some of that comes from individualized styles changing so much, but a lot of it comes from the advantage that scrapbookers have with the introduction of die cutting machines to our crafting market. Our Inspirations bring our creations to life, and the outcome is far more impressive than anything that you can buy premade or prepackaged. The price tag on embellishments and vinyl decals in local craft stores can be very expensive. Your total at the cash register can add up fast! I love walking by fancy displays and thinking to myself, I don’t need to buy that, I can make it!! Vinyl is a huge craze in our market right now and with so many wonderful phrases and ideas to fit your home décor it’s no wonder why. Vinyl is the simplest way to add some personalization to your home and office walls without using paint. I love that my Inspiration has the ability to create larger projects than just a standard 12x12. With the 12x24 mat capabilities, you can create larger projects like vinyl words for walls and decal stickers for car windows.

Sharing Inspiration Settings

We all love sharing things with friends whether it’s the latest projects we’ve created, a great coupon in the paper, an idea, or even a secret. It’s nice when you have someone to fall back on and even better when that friend shares in the excitement of something you love too, like crafting! When it comes to friends with an Inspiration it’s nice to know that we can give them a call and ask questions on different materials they may have cut, and what settings worked best for them. Regardless of your level of experience there are still new things to learn since there are new products that come out all the time. I have a bit of an advantage here at work, because my friends are co workers and of course Inspiration users. They constantly offer guidance and assistance when I need it. It’s nice to be able to ask if they have experience cutting certain products, or if they’ve ever heard of a new idea using different materials or paper and what settings they used to get the perfect cut.
