Have you seen an image you loved but didn’t know what to use it for? Have you ever wanted to put together a project but didn’t know how to pull all the pieces together? I would guess that most of us can answer those questions with a resounding “Yes!” We all struggle with designing from time to time. It is the reason why we are attracted to paper lines that coordinate and stamp sets with several pieces. They help us envision what the next step in the creative process will be. That is why beginning this Friday, we are adding a new category in the Craft Room Library called Collections.
In the Collections folder you will find groupings of images each in their own separate sub-folder. Each collection will have 8–10 images that are designed to be used together. Seeing the images in a group and in similar colors will help you envision what you can do with them. We also will feature a few of the images in projects to help get your creative juices going and that Pazzles Inspiration cutting!
Now let’s take a closer look at our first three Cutting Collections.
Wicked
It’s not hard to be inspired by this collection since it is the Halloween season. I created this collection to put a more fashionable twist on the traditional spooky Halloween images. One of the great things about these designs is that they can be re-sized to fit your project.
Michelle used the same Spider Web Border on both the Witch Card and the Something Wicked scrapbook page. She also used black rhinestones on the spider as it drops down from the title. Of course, the papers help tell the story and create a spooky feel. These are from the Echo Park Apothecary Emporium line.
Poker Night
This set actually began as an idea for a Poker Party that Tatum wanted to host. Poker traditionally uses just a few primary colors but you could certainly change it up to a fun and funky combination if you like. We re-sized the card box to make a fun Grandma’s card deck complete with pictures of grandkids in the center of the individual cards.
The poker chip box is a great way to give everyone their starting chips at the beginning of the game. You could also fill it with take home treats for each guest. The King and Queen titles were designed for scrapbook page titles but when re-sized they make a great embellishments for the poker chip box. Papers by WorldWin.
Pool Fun
Summer is gone for many parts of the world, but photos from those fun times still need to be scrapbooked and chronicled. If you are lucky enough to live in a warm climate you can use these designs to create a fun party set. Coordinating cupcake picks, invitations, goody bags, and decorations would be easy to make from these pieces. Even if you live in a colder climate it might be fun to have an indoor beach party!! Michelle used papers from Echo Park’s Summer Days and Playground paper lines.
If you are anxious to get started you can find these collections in the New Images folder in the Craft Room Library. Craft Room members will have access to the new Collections a few days before they are released for sale in the Store so that they can get a head start on creating projects. Hopefully, we have gotten your creative juices flowing and we can’t wait to see what you are doing with these new collections!
Happy Collecting! ~ Chris and Michelle
I was able to locate the Wicked collection, however when I go to the image library and search Poker night and Pool fun the search comes up empty. What am I doing wrong
Whoops! It is fixed now. You can locate all of 3 the collections in the NEW folder in the Image Library. We are finding all of the ‘bugs’ aka human errors to this new Library addition. Bear with us! 🙂
I really like putting the group together. It is going to make things so much easier.
Thanks
Sharon
