Christine is on vacation this week and you know what they say: “When the cat’s away, the mice will play!” We’ve taken over today’s Just Chatting post to have a little fun.
Today is election day in the United States and Americans will be heading to the polls. After you vote for a President, come to the Craft Room to vote for new images. That’s right—we are giving you the chance to select next week’s new image releases. Tell us what you want in today’s comments section and we’ll select 10 nominees and announce them on Thursday here on the blog. You will have the chance to vote for your favorite and the top 3 winners will appear in the new cutting files next week. Today, leave a comment with your nomination and let us know what you want.
We also wanted to share some information about our blog posting schedule.
Mondays: We are releasing a new Cutting Collection in the store every two weeks and on the Monday of a new release you will see projects created with that new Cutting Collection. On the opposite Mondays, we will be posting projects made with Craft Room cutting files. These will be similar to the 15 Minute Projects, in that we will be providing general directions, but not a detailed instruction sheet. Our hope it that these projects will inspire your own creations.
Tuesdays: Tuesday is our founder Christine’s blog day. Sometimes you will find a new video tutorial for Tips and Tricks, or a project-based Chris & Michelle video. Some days you will find a Just Chatting post about topics relevant to all crafters and artists.
Wednesdays: A new 15 Minute Project will be posted every Wednesday. These are quick projects perfect for beginners. The projects feature fun ways to use existing Craft Room Library files.
Thursdays: On Thursdays we will rotate through some of our more popular blog features. You might find a Goodie Bag post from Amanda or a FAQ from Tatum. We will also occasionally be featuring Money Saving Tips on this day.
Fridays: Special Projects are the highlight of Friday. Every Friday we will feature a knock-your-socks-off project complete with new images in WPC, AI, and SVG cutting file formats. These files are available to Craft Room members along with a downloadable project instruction sheet.
Thank you for being here in the Craft Room with us! We are working hard to make this your first stop for crafting inspiration and we appreciate you, our customers!
Don’t forget to make your voice heard and nominate a new cutting file in the comments below! Happy Voting!

I would like to see a project that incorporates lots of pockets and tags…something different than an explosion box…maybe a book of some sort. This is what I want to make for my granddaughter for Christmas. Something where she can hide her secrets….maybe we can call it a “crush” book….or a personality book…with questionnaires asking things like who/what is your favorite_____?
It sure would help me to not have to reinvent the wheel if I could get it from here..LOL!
Thank you so much for the posting schedule!! I had asked about it in the forum section since I’m a newbie and don’t want to miss anything. Wow, not only did you answer my question in the forum, you’ve answered it here for all of us. I was at Scrapbook Expo in Sacramento and was chatting with some gals telling them about the amazing support and response from the craftroom gals. This membership is the best $$ spent – no joke!! I spent a small fortune on another “exclusive” group and really didn’t get anything out of it. I’m hooked and so happy to be a part of this community. Favorites? hmmmm, anything “gifty” right now would be great. It’s those last minute gifts for neighbors and nieces and nephews that always stump me.
Thanks for everything.
I vote for cute gift project ideas too! We recently moved and our new neighbors have all been wonderful so I’d like to make a fun little token of appreciation to give to them over the holidays for everything they have done to welcome us to the community. 🙂
This might sound insane but can I vote for Pillow Patterns and how to cut fabric with your pazzles. Maybe a Ho Ho Ho pillow or a elf something?
I love how the Craft Room is going….all very exciting. Thanks to all your hard work and continuing creativity.
I would love some Santa, Rudolf candy bar wrappers. Also some Christmas Luminary or ones that could be adapted for any time of the year. Lots of gift type projects for Christmas and Valentine! 🙂
As a scrapper, I love all kinds of die cuts. I would love to see the amusement park section expanded.
I would like to see boexes cut out in the letters Merry Christmas
The Haunted Village is my all time favorite collection of cutting files! All of you did such a fantastic job on this one!!!
So now I’m curious how to go about designing 3D projects. How do I take an image and make it a 3D design?
I find myself making alot of baby scrapbooks in the past few years…it would be great to see a baby collection…or more on line for baby layouts…or even a page layout designs it doesn’t have to be just babies…school days…anything really…I hear from young moms all the time they just don’t have time to scrap this would make it easier for everyone if there is already a complete 2 page layout already laid out
I would love to be able to make large three D numbers and letters in all sorts of different materials. Anything three D actually. Thanks for everything you do all ready.
I would really like to see more face parts for the pen tool. There are some eyes in the library, but they are mostly for people. I would like to see some for teddy bears, puppy dogs, etc. I really can’t free hand draw them and would love to see them on Pazzles.
I may be on vacation but I am still watching! 😉 I see lots of great ideas for projects with instructions and tutorials. But I would love to see more image/die cut ideas or project ideas that don’t require additional instructions.
Put your thinking caps on ladies and gents!!
How about cute teddy bears or animals that would work in baby scrapbooks. Some cute Christmas characters for layouts would be great too!
I’d love to see a set of paper pieced images in the little red riding hood theme such as the big bad wolf etc…. As well as fancy / elegant frames .
cute paper cutouts of people, animals, bugs and things,
some that you could use as digital stamps would be fun to have.
I love the collections and the 15 minute it helps a lot with design and color ideas keep up the good work
I would love to see something for boys, as I have 6 grandsons (no girls).
I would love to see some pen tool projects also fabric projects too, but no less important paper project beautiful as usual.
Congrats for your work.
If it’s not too late to vote, I’d love designs in the Scherenschnitte and the Wisniki (sorry, I don’t know the right spelling, but if I go back a page I’ll lose my comment here) it’s the rooster one/technique… they are so hard to cut with paper and scissors, and I love them framed and for other things! Thanks
how about a Mayflower ship to go with the cute pilgrim people
Well I may be WAAAAAYYYY BEHIND here,
but want to comment anyway,
I love the idea of boxes and 3D projects 🙂
Can someone concoct a file for a 3D western
style BOOT??? (for the line-dancers)
??
OH, and 3D animals 🙂
