Today’s tutorial features Center Line Vectorization which is one of many vectorizing, or auto-tracing tools, in the Inspiration Studio Software. You may not even know it exists and yet, you really should become familiar with it. It will help you convert clipart to single-stroke line art. Then you can use it in Pen Tool designs, piercing and rhinestone projects.
If you love digital stamping you absolutely must learn to use Center Line Vectorization! I began my journey in paper crafting by doing rubber stamping. I think it is because I really love to color! Stamping lets me fulfill that need to color and blend. I still have hundreds of stamps but I rarely used them anymore. Instead I use the Pen Tool and draw my line art. I can organize my digital stamps and see them instantly using the Inspiration Studio Software. I can change the size, take something away or add to it. I can find a piece of clip art and make it my own stamp, draw it on my Inspiration and color to my heart’s content.
Watch the video to learn how Center Line Vectorization can help you make single stroke designs. You will find yourself using it over and over again.

Chris, it’s only 2 weeks since the Atlanta retreat and I have forgotten how to convert a font into a center line for the pen tool. Help! please 😀

9/25/13 Chris, Trying to pull up the video on Center Line Vectorization, but it is not loading. Could you have IT check to be sure the link is active? Thanks so much! Love the site and learn a lot from it!
Center line vectorization video in Beyond Basics is not loading on Mar 10, 2014. I note it wasn’t working when Irish tried it six months ago either.
