One of the things that I love about my Pazzles is that I am able to use any true type font I have on my computer. There are so many things you can create with just letters.
One day as I was cutting out a lot of separate letters I realized that the negative of the paper looked as fun as the positive. I had done the kind of title that you put the paper behind, but then as I had been looking at all the fun things people are doing everywhere with subway graphics, I realized that using it for the entire page background would be so much fun.
When I saw these photos of the kids, I knew this would be the perfect time to do this. I wanted something simple that just tells this “Forever Friends” story. I chose to use a basic font and let the inside of the letters just drop away, so I didn’t have to be concerned about stenciling them.
I cut a basic cardstock and then used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist on it to create a subtle designed look. Then I used paper from LilyBee Designs Pinwheel Picnic line for the frames and accents. I also chose to do some light inking using the Clearsnap Cateye Chalk Fluid Ink on the frames.
The journaling is just printed on my printer and then I cut the oval out. The journaling tells about how the girls were best friends growing up and always said they were going to marry best friends (which they did) and then their children would be best friends and live in the same town. Well, it is all happening, because they are all now in the same town as of this month.
I hope you have a forever friends story that this layout overlay will be perfect for.
