I love flowers, is there anyone who doesn’t? They come in such a abundance and variety of shapes and sizes. I never cease to be amazed at their simplicity and yet they can be so complex in design. I have a large number of flowers in my cutting file collection already, but I am always looking for more. Apparently, one can never have too many flower designs. Today, I have created a video tutorial that will guide you through the process of using the Rotation feature found in the Transformation window. Using my method you can create an infinite number of flowers for your cutting file “garden”.
Before I discovered this method, I found it hard to make my petals evenly spaced. No matter how hard I tried, the petals were always a little bit off. Being the perfectionist that I am, this frustrated me. With the rotation method the petals are always exactly where they are supposed to be.
Making Rotation Flowers does take a bit of math. You need to divide a circle, which is 360 degrees, by the number of petals you desire. For those of you who don’t want to work that hard 🙂 I have created a chart that will help you make flowers with up to 12 petals. If you want more petals, you are on your own; just remember to divide 360 by whatever number of petals you want. Once you know the spacing, you use the Rotation function to rotate the flowers exactly the right amount.
It is so much easier to show how to do this so be sure to watch the video below. I think you will find that, just like me, you will want to create different petal variations just to see what kind of flower results.
Happy Tuesday and Have Fun!
Chris

Very Helpful.

Elvira, try again. It seems to be working on our end. Perhaps your Internet is a bit slow this morning. Just give it a bit of time to load the video- also try the Low-Res video since it is a smaller file.
Thanks Christine I will try now!
I am having trouble with the video not showing!
Thanks Christine, that was terrific. Elvira
Be patient while it is loading. It seems that our service provider might be doing some maintenance that is slowing things down. It should improve soon.
OMGoodness, another awesome video showing how versatile the PI software is. Am off to play to see how many different shapes i can make.
Thanks Christine for another winning video tutorial:-)
Just watched the video…fantastic. I am off to make some flower embellishments!
I liked this. thanks for the chart.
the video is not working for me either have waited 10 mins for it to come up but nothing
Thank You, Chris! I love this video!
Thanks so much Chris. Love your videos (so inspiring)
It stops at the words “Like the ones shown here”. I have waited and nothing happens. Looks like it would be a nice video too. Will try again later.
If you have problems viewing the video please email webadmin@pazzles.com. The problem seems to be sporadic so it would help to hear from those who can’t get the video to load properly. Thanks!
I waited awhile and it worked. Maybe there were too may of us at the same time.
It was a great video…that once again….has the old cogs “rotating” with ideas! Thanks Christine!
sorry cant see video either
Hi Afraid the video still doesn’t work – get the first 16 or 17 seconds and then stops
*’*’*’*’*If the video pauses or stops, pause the video and let your internet catch up. Then start the video again. You can also try a lower quality of the same video by selecting the “Low Res” or “ipod/iphone” link beneath “watch now”.*’*’*’*’*
Because these videos are high quality it may take longer for your internet to download the information than if you were watching something on you tube for example. If your internet can’t download the information as quickly as you are watching the video then it will simply pause or stop the video. If you are still having trouble after trying all these suggestions please email us and we will help you.
Doesn’t matter what I do it does start up
