Up and Away Glitter Balloon ...

Sometimes you just need a quick and simple card. For my card I used a 9 ½" x 6 ½" base. I used the Balloons cutting file as well as the Pocket Scrapbooking Banners which can be found in the Pazzles Craft Room Library. I decided to remove the balloon cut out and add a glitter balloon cut out instead. I then went ahead and created a sentiment using the Pocket Scrapbooking Banners and my Pen Tool. I drew some balloon strings and in just minutes I had a card ready to send out.

Pop Up Friend Card

Pop up cards are so much fun! I love looking at the face of the recipient when they open the card and see it come to life! This card was made by following the Basic Pop Up Cards Video. The little dog hanging over the fence is hoping to get a pat or two, or maybe a treat!

Chalkboard Art Card

I just love the chalkboard look on cards. Inspired by a lovely saying that I found online, I created this note card using my Pen Tool. I created a perforated outline for the note card and then set my text in place. For my card base I used a 7" x 5" base. I used the draw tool to create two stars.

Beautiful Layers With Spellbinders Digital ...

We have some fantastic projects to share today courtesy of the Pazzles Design Team. I asked Angie Contreras and Melin Beltran to share something they made with the Spellbinders Digital Die Collections, and their creations are beautiful. Angie used the Nestabilities Label 9 files to create a shaped base for her card. With several layers of nesting shapes, she was able to easily cut out the matching layering pieces as well. I love the fresh trendy shape and colors of this card.

Peek A Boo Window Kite ...

Hello ladies, today I am sharing an aperture/window card. These are incredibly easy to make and using your Pazzles you can create perfect alignment of the aperture when layered onto a card. I drew my 5” x 5” layer using my software. I aligned my Bird Flying Kite file and arranged it onto my 5” x 5” square layer. I drew a circle aperture in my Pazzles software and arranged it over my kite. I print & cut my design having watched the video tutorial Using Cutting Files for Print and Cut, which explains how to use registration boxes.

Stinkin Cute Fun Fold Skunk Card

Stinkin Cute Shutter Card

Hello crafty friends, Melin here and today I wanted to share a really quick and simple card you can make with some great Craft Room files. I started by using the Fun Folds 2 Shutter Card base. I cut that in plain white cardstock. I then cut the panels in some DCWV Floral Fair patterned paper. I cut several of the Creamy Flower file in plain white cardstock. I also cut several of the centers in some Bazzil Tangerine Bling. I then used the stem from the Long Stemmed Swirl Flower file for my stems and leaves. I used some Buttercup Ink from Close To My Heart and sponged the ink in the center and worked my way out. I left the tips of the flowers white so they would have some character and depth. I then added the circles to the centers and then added some Yellow Stickles to the centers.

From The Sea Shaped Card

Hello crafty friends, Melin here today sharing a cute card I created with some of the latest Spellbinders Digital Die Collections. I used the Labels 13 S4-248 set to create my card base. I simply created a duplicate of the largest layer and welded them together at the top. I then cut one of the smaller layers using some of the very pretty paper in the DCWV Linen Closet cardstock stack. I then proceeded to cut out another smaller layer, and then used that same sized layer and my lattice tool to create a latticed layer. I glued that on top of the bottom layer that was cut with some pretty glitter paper from the same stack.

Suitcase Box Postcard Holder

So, the summer holidays are almost upon us and as a family we are thinking about going away for a few days to the beach. With the advance in phone technology the art of sending postcards to friends and family seems to be diminishing. However, I think it is much more fun and personal to send a written postcard to loved ones highlighting the family summer activities. For my project I have used the Suitcase Box found in the Craft Room Library. I have used papers by Graphic 45 from By the Sea paper collection which includes a double-sided sheet of Seaside themed postcards. I decided to enlarge my suitcase so that I could place my postcards and Kraft card envelopes inside. As a Craft Room member I found the video tutorial on How to Resize a Box extremely helpful for this project.

Backyard Bugz Cutting Collection: WPC, ...

Gather together a few junior bug explorers and celebrate summer in your backyard. The fascination of watching an ant hill busy at work, or collecting ladybugs in a jar, are childhood memories we all cherish. Our latest collection, Backyard Bugz Cutting Collection includes a several buggy characters, a bug jar and net, and a few titles for documenting your summer bug catching. For today's project I cut the net out at the largest size I could fit on a 12" x 12" piece of paper. I cut a separate layer in chipboard for a bit of stability.

Nesting Birds Print & Cut ...

Recently, Pazzles has been providing us with some lovely sketches which include cutting files ready for download available in the Pazzles Craft Room. If you have not tried any of the Cut And Paste Sketches so far, I urge you to have a go. Once you have downloaded the sketch cutting file all you need to do is import the sketch cutting file into your Pazzles software. For my project I used the Circle Spotlight Card sketch. Now the difficult bit…….decisions! Choose your coordinating paper and cardstock and cut according to the design. You don’t even need to stick to the design and you can use all, some, or one element(s) of the design in your project.

DIY Embellishments: Patchwork Paper Pieces

I keep thinking about making a quilt. I've been looking at quilt patterns as a way to give myself a pep talk and convince myself that I can actually do it. Quilt patterns are kind of amazing. When you look at a finished block you see a butterfly, but when you look really close you see a series of triangles and squares that make up that butterfly. It fascinates me! To wrap up this week of DIY embellishments I've created a set of eight patchwork inspired embellishment pieces. One of the Design Team Members mentioned having difficulty with this assignment because to her, everything she creates with her Inspiration is an embellishment, which is very true. The idea behind this week is to have a bit of a cutting binge and make some embellishments ahead of time to have on hand. We wanted to encourage you to look at those packages of embellishments at the store and instead of buying them, make your own.

DIY Scrapbook Embellishments: Pocket Cards

Twelve different adorable 3x4 cards. Not only do these make great pocket scrapping cards, they are the perfect size for creating quick and easy sentiments for your cards!

DIY Scrapbook Embellishments: Bicycles and ...

I love to bike ride. It’s so nice to breathe the fresh air. It makes me feel so carefree… until I have to pedal up a steep hill! I have always loved the novelty of tandem bikes and wished I had one…so someone else could pedal! I made five different embellishments to help me savor the feeling I get when I ride my bike! I hope they will inspire you and help you get your scrapbooking page or card put together in a snap. Though I chose a bike theme, these embellishments can be turned into any theme you can imagine. Instead of using the quote, "I would go anywhere with you. On a bicycle built for two”. You could say “If friends were flowers, I would pick you”. Then change the pictures of the bicycles to pictures of flowers. All the embellishments using images or quotes were cut out using the print and cut technique.

May Challenge Reminder

What have you been inspired by this month? Our May challenge is all about using the world around you as inspiration. You can find details about this month's challenge here. As part of this month's challenge you will need to post both the inspiration piece and the finished piece. Today we have some challenge inspiration from the two newest design team members, Belle Donaghey and Krista Petersen-Hong. They are sharing photos of their inspiration as well as the finished project. Belle was inspired by her grandfather's cap. She created a layout about him that was inspired by his life and the colors of the cap.

Graduation Shrinky Dink Charms

Graduation is a wonderful time in one’s life. I thought I would make it more special by adding a little something to the basic graduation cap, and what’s more fun than charms. Inspired by the Charms video in the Building on the Basics section, I knew dangles or charms would be just the ticket. I remembered playing with shrinky dinks as a child so this craft also brought back fond memories. First I found two files in the Craft Room Graduate Photo Booth Hat and Hashtag 2014. I then used the replace by segment tool to draw a line to finish the cap and eliminate the graduate part since I just wanted a simple cap. I then used the techniques I learned in the video to make the cap and the hashtag into charms. I resized them to about to 7" for the cap and 9" for the hashtag.

Cut And Paste Sketches: Scallop ...

I have some tiny little tag stickers that I bought years ago. The company was going out of business and I wanted to make sure I never ran out, so I bought several packages. These little sticker tags are the cutest things. Most of them are only about 1/2" tall and they look aged and vintage. This card was inspired by the sticker tags. Cut out your own tags and make them the centerpiece of your card.
