This is such an adorable idea. My coworker saw this project and had probably brought it up 4 or 5 times because she likes it so much haha. It probably helps that we both love chinese food
We do family game nights and make homemade chinese food. I can't wait to show up with these! I thought this would be a fun idea for Halloween too and put ghoulish messages on the inside. I guess you know who the coworker was Amanda mentioned that couldn't stop talking about this project. *grin

I just found something similar to this in a Martha Stewart Book from the library. I debated about making a pattern from them...you have convinced me to do this. Wouldn't it be cute to give this as a gift to a kid where clues to his/her actual gifts were in the fortune cookies?! I used to do those sorts of things in my classroom. It teaches kids to follow directions. You could use it for birthday party scavenger hunts. I really like this idea!
I love the idea of clues to an actual gift! We've done that concept for our kids and grandkids and it is a blast! I love how this design can be used for so many different themes.

how did you cut the box?

The box is a pattern from the Pazzles Boxes and Bags CD

I had tried to make something like this once before but I think I don't have strong enough glue... I couldn't get them to stay folded into the cookie shape. I'll give it a shot sometime again when I have good glue. Very cute!

I have had that same problem toni. Then my mom turned me on to Tombo Mono Multi Liquid Glue. It's a fantastic glue, I use it for almost everything now.
