I used the Pazzles Paper Lace CD
#28-D Doily file
Cut two in red Bazzill cardstock
Backed with Graphic 45 patterned paper
Tore and inked the edges of the cream cardstock
Placed on black background cardstock
Cut out various points of the paper doily this allowed me to tuck some of my photo
mats underneath for visual interest.
Added various Prima, Petaloo and Daisy D flowers as well as ribbon and Doodlebug
brads.
For the journaling block, I used the same paper doily file and down-sized it. I also
removed some of the inside of the cut to create the frame.
Typed my journaling on a piece of cardstock and adhered it to the black frame.
Outlined the frame with black stickles. Visit my blog, MyPaperCrafting.com for more details. http://www.mypapercrafting.com/p/melins-two-page-layouts.html
I am the lace queen and love the way that you used your lace! This is beautiful! How clever to use dotted paper behind the lace that gives the illusion of that old fashioned lace sewn on netting. I really like this a lot!
Also, the color selection for the flowers is not one that I would have thought about using. I wouldn't have thought that the combo could work. You must have a good eye for this sort of thing because it works beautifully. I love being inspired to try new things from learning from looking at the work of others, don't you?! Pretty...pretty....pretty!

Was this a gift? I bet the recipient was delighted. What a beautiful project! I love the corner flower arrangements.
Oh gosh, girls, I am just so flattered with all your kind words. Yes, Julie, it was a gift....to myself...lol. I hardly get to do my own scrapbooking with teaching classes and creating page kits, so this was a chance to do a project of my two favorite girls. My sweet daughter and our sweet, hyper and very rambunctious dog, Violet....who by the way is anything, but a sweet, little Violet...lol! Being on the design team and getting a chance to do different projects is such a great way to challenge ourselves.
