      Frightfully Good Time

      Frightfully Good Time
      by Sue Reynolds

This month we were asked to demonstrate the multitude of uses for the Pen Tool for the Pazzles Creative Cutters. The many uses include journaling, kiss cut inlines to create dimension, evenly spaced “pierced” dots….. the list goes on and on. I chose to highlight the fact you can make your own background paper and use fonts that would not be good for cutting out.

I used the Sakura Glue Pen again, but this time adding Doodlebug Designs Velvet White Flock to add a textural feeling to the background design. Sometimes all you want is a simple background and some “Designer” papers are expensive and too busy. I also used a black Gelly Roll Glaze Pen for the letters this time. Creating the letters with the pen then cutting it out creates a “layered” effect without the layering. Then I filled the letters in with a blood red glitter and covered with Crystal Lacquer.
I used an American Crafts Galaxy Marker to write on acetate where the photo should be placed. Also Mister Spidey has some subtle red marks on his back using a Red Gelly Roll Glaze pen.

I love the lettering on this. My Grandson would love this because it looks bloody! LOL! What a great way to use the lacquer.
