      Etched Goblet

I hope you can see the etching alright, it is difficult to photograph. I really love the look of an etched goblet. They are so classy! I also did etched goblets as the gift for people at my wedding. I etched two linked hearts on the goblets and everyone got to take their glass home with them. It was really perfect for my wedding since we had it at a winery. I had people for years afterwards tell me they still had the glasses and thought of our wedding every time they used them.

      Supplies:
      Wine glass
      Etching Cream
      Vinyl
      Swirls and Twirls CD

I used an image off of the swirls adn twirls CD and used Pazzles vinyl to make the stencil. I got the glasses from Bed Bath and Beyond for $12.00 for 10 glasses I think? You can get the etching cream from any craft store, I believe I got mine for around $10.00 from Michaels and one bottle goes a long way.

      Instructions:

It can be tricky getting the vinyl to sit right around the shape of the wine glass, but it's not too bad. Make sure you have the vinyl laying completely flat against the glass so that the etching cream can't seep through, then just follow the instructions on the etching cream. I found that doing the etching cream twice, once painting it on vertically and once painting it on horizantally, helped achieve a more even etch.

      Hope you like it!
