I am totally hooked on making paper portraits. This is probably my favorite of the first four I done. I like it being 12x12. Reminds me of the old album covers.
This is awsome. I know what you mean about album covers. When cassette tapes were all the rage, I still kept buying albums - just for the covers. Can you tell us a bit about how you did this with the Inspiration? It doesn't look like paper piecing or pen and ink. It is FANTASTIC!! I would love to see Prince during the Purple Rain days.

Thanks. Your actually the third person to ask me about doing a Prince portrait. I have all ready started work on it. It will be all "shades of purple". I also am doing the Beatles Let it Be album cover. I thought it would be pretty easy, since it is only 4 separate portraits of them. It will be 24x24. I should hopefully have them up before the end of the weekend. I got excited when I discovered that Bazzill paper now has a line of paper called "Smoothies". I won't have to use the reverse side any longer. If I find time and enough people are interested, I was thinking about doing a training video on how to make paper portraits. Oh well, only so much time in a week.

Thank you for the information. I will definitely keep my eye out for the Prince portrait.
This is awesome - please could we have a tutorial - your work is very different and very talented - I would like to do the Andy Wharhol picture of the two planes shooting each other - as I think it would work really well with the colours. Fab work - give up the day job and do this full time ;-0

not familiar with that one. I was actually working on a Andy Warhol portrait, but got side tracked with other projects. I probably have another dozen portraits finished that I haven't put up.... didn't want to overwhelm the gallery with them.

Hear is a quick link that inspired me to try to make my own paper portraits. Of course, he did them by hand, but it at least gives you an idea on how to go about making them. I'm not much of a blogger, but one of these days I want to make a "how to video" for Pazzles users.
I can't speak for everyone but I'd have a really hard time getting tired of seeing your projects

I watched the tutorial you linked, amazing stuff! I can't imagine doing it all with an exacto knife like he did, someone needs to hook that guy up with an Inspiration, lol! I'm excited though, I am thinking of doing some of our favorite musicians and framing them for my music room. Thanks for sharing!
