I am an old fashioned gal at heart and I love the Victorian style valentines with lots of layers and lace. I wanted to use a photo on the box to make it extra personal to the person receiving the gift.
Supplies:
12 x 12 Dark Pink cardstock (Paper Accents Muslin Raspberry)
12 x 12 Black cardstock (WorldWin Black)
Scrap Dusky Pink (WorldWin Light Misty Mauve)
Scrap Gold pearl cardstock (Paper Accents pearlized gold)
Antique Gold brads
Antique Gold sheer ribbon
Black Gel pen
Tombow Mono Glue
Pop Dots
1. Cut Box from Dark Pink cardstock but do not assemble. ( Hint: Cut red perf lines FIRST at a lower pressure. Then cut pink outer lines at the recommended pressure for your cardstock.)
2. Cut lace & heart frame from Black. (Hint: For lace, reduce pressure a bit and cut twice for a cleaner cut.)
3. Cut scalloped heart from Dusky Pink
4. Insert pen into pen tool and write ‘Forever’ on gold cardstock. Do not move or remove mat from machine!
5. Insert Blade into cutter and cut rectangle around the word Forever.
6. Insert brads into holes on gold rectangle.
7. Center black heart frame over photo and trace around the outside of the frame on photo.
8. Hand cut photo, trimming just a bit inside the drawn line so it won’t show.
9. Glue black frame over photo and then glue framed photo to pink scalloped heart.
10. Glue lace to heart box.
11. Attach pink scalloped heart to box with pop dots.
12. Attach Gold ‘Forever’ rectangle to box with pop dots.
13. Assemble box using Tombow Mono Glue.
14. Thread Ribbon through holes to hold box together.
