This tag was so easy it almost felt like cheating. I suppose not all good ideas have to be complicated though!
Supplies:
White Vellum
Dark Red cardstock (I used Dark Berry Red by Worldwin Colormates)
Dark Red Ink
Broad silver ribbon
Thin silver wired ribbon (the wire is not necessary but will keep your ribbon from flopping over)
You’ll notice on the cutting file that there are two copies of the tag laying over top of each other. I cut one of these tags out in the red cardstock and cut the other one out in vinyl. The present top I cut out in red cardstock. I then inked the present top around the edges just because I like the way ink makes my projects look more “finished”. I glued the vinyl tag on top of the red cardstock tag. I only glued the vinyl at the top where it would be covered by the present top, so that no glue would show through. I wrapped my broad silver ribbon around the tag as pictured and secured it on the back of the tag. Lastly I glued on my present top, and tied the thinner silver ribbon through the tag hole.
