Inspiration Updates

If your Inspiration will not turn on after you have ran the updates the most likely culprit is that the updates did not install successfully. There can be a lot of reasons why this happens ranging from a knocked cord, user error, or a power blip. The most common cause is user error due to either not following or understanding the on screen instructions. Most people get confused about what buttons to push. When you do the updates you will be prompted to synch your Inspiration by pressing and holding both the load/unload button and the power button. When done correctly, both buttons will light up. You can then continue the update process.

As long as you follow the on screen instructions carefully it is very unlikely that you will have any issues with the updates. However if you find yourself in the same position as Marcy and your Inspiration will not power back on you can fix the problem by rerunning the updates. Start by synching your Inspiration again by pressing and holding both the load/unload button and the power button down. Then walking through the updates again. Please note that it’s important to let the downloads completely install. During the download process you’ll have a series of prompts that instruct you on how to work through the update process.
