Make a holiday trivet with a dollar store trivet-Dollar Store Craft Idea

Fourth of July Trivet with ...

Are you looking for a kitchen décor item to help with the celebration of the Fourth of July? Pull out your vinyl and take note of how to assemble this easy project. For this project I will supply you with instructions on putting vinyl on a clear trivet that you can pick up at the Dollar Tree. This trivet is nice for putting those hot pans on in the kitchen. From the Pazzles Craft Room Library I used the July 4th Set file. I used the firework explosion cut file from this set. I used the cut path with line scissors to cut a line through the image.  Once the project was cut in half, I highlighted one section and using the up arrow key about 15 times created an opening for my name.

Layered Vinyl Project: Patriotic Mason ...

For this layered vinyl project I used the three layers of flag from the MK July 4th Set. I would recommend getting the Wall Vinyl Transfer Tape from the Pazzles Store to make placing your vinyl onto the Mason jar easier (due to the many stripes which are a little delicate), but the Pazzles Jewels Vinyl was forgiving and came unstuck when I needed to carefully reposition or remove bubbles (which I would recommend adjusting immediately because this amazing product is permanent and even dishwasher safe!) I adhered the red layer first, then the white, then the blue, using the cut out stars from the blue flag field as embellishments above and below the flag on the jar.

Firecracker Box

Firecracker Shelf Box

Both Heidi and I want to apologize that this project is being released the day before it's intended holiday. We had a miscommunication, but it's such a cool box I didn't want to skip over it. The shape can be adapted to so many things and it has many other uses besides holding firecrackers. So please forgive us and enjoy this awesome box! ~Michelle I think outside of Christmas, the 4th of July is my favorite holiday. We always have a huge 4th of July celebration and cookout in our neighborhood and it is typically held at my house. It’s so much fun having everyone over and we have made some amazing memories. One of my favorite things to do is to pull out pictures from past years and see how much all the neighborhood kids have grown.

Patriotic 4th of July Bear Layout

4th of July Patriotic Bear ...

Hello crafty friends, Melin back in the Craft Room with you today. I was tasked this time with creating a project with a patriotic theme, so this is what I came up with. I created this layout using a few of the fun Craft Room files. I selected the MK July 4th Title, the MK Independence Borders. I also used the Sparkler, the Independence Hat, the Panda Bear and the Panda Sitting files.

Patriotic Party Supplies

The summer heat is ramping up in the United States and it's time for America's biggest BBQ weekend. I love the Fourth of July mostly for the fireworks, but I also love the good food and fun times spent with friends and family. Throwing a big party can be a bit overwhelming when you are the hostess. Instead of elaborate 4th of July party decorations, I've created a few simple DIY party decorations you can easily make multiples of. The rosettes and paper firework picks make great decorations for a table or porch. The simple silverware holders can hold each guest's utensils or be filled with a candy bar. When it's time for the fireworks show to start, give each guest a paper cone filled with popcorn and a unique patriotic box of sparklers or candy. The best part of the night will be the Sparkler fortunes (and misfortunes). Attach these tags to your sparklers and let each guest pick one. They can read the message and then light the sparkler to make the fortune come true. Of course you will want to remove the paper tag before lighting the sparkler. The file includes eight fortunes and eight misfortunes. Use the Pazzles Pen Tool to create these, or cut them out blank to come up with your own sentiments. I think my guests will really enjoy these and I hope your guests will too!

Patriotic Pop Up Box Candy ...

We, as crafters tend to see things differently. Where some people see a pop up card, I see a candy dish and centerpiece for my 4th of July party or any party really. I started with the Easter Pop Up Card project files. I divided in half the main card box and then I discarded the half without the tab. I duplicated the remaining piece and added back in the tabs so that I could enlarge the file to fit on two pieces of paper. After getting rid of all the Easter décor in the file, I selected the whole file and made it bigger so one half of the box would fill the 12" x 12" mat. I then cut the main box pieces out of white, all the coordinating pieces out of decorative paper, and two extra supports for the center along with two 4.25" squares to be the bottom on top of the supports. I glued those support squares about half way down the inside of the box. As long as you select the whole file before you enlarge it, all of the pieces will stay in proportion.

4th of July Rocket Launcher

Bottle Rocket Launcher Hostess Gift

There are many traditions we share here in the United States for Independence Day. A staple in most American families are high flying fireworks, burgers and hotdogs on the grill and a loving family to make cherished memories with. Nothing says Made in America like the love we share with family during holiday celebrations like the 4th of July.

Patriotic Card

Have you seen the New Images added to our Image Library on Friday? The latest group included three cards. The Hello Card just begged to be recreated. It was so simple and yet it had so much potential! I could envision several different ways to interpret it.

Origami Pinwheel and Card

As promised I am doing another origami project! I really wanted to find a cute origami pinwheel for the 4th of July and when I saw this one I knew it was the one. Unfortunately...the instructions might as well have been in Russian! So after much wrestling and a little help from my coworkers I figured out how it went together and then made a much better set of instructions for all of you. Your pain is my gain! I decided to go with non-traditional 4th of July colors and I really love how it turned out. I also included several different phrases to use such as "Happy Birthday", "For You", and "Celebrate" so don't think of this as JUST a 4th of July project.

4th of July Banner

I absolutely love summer. Around Pazzles' hometown firework stands are springing up everywhere and the temperatures are getting higher and higher. As someone who naturally runs on the cold side, winter always feels too long and too cold. I cannot wait to be free of frozen toes and several layers of clothing! The 4th of July is such a fun holiday stuck right in the middle of summer with so much potential for swimming, barbecuing, picnics, and fireworks! So here is a great 4th of July vintage banner that you can make as you are getting ready for your 4th of July celebrations.

Rosettes and Swags

Lately I have been spending a lot of time looking in Scrapbook magazines, stores, online shops and company catalogs. Everywhere I turn I see rosettes and it isn’t hard to know why. They just “feel” happy! You can buy them premade, invest in a pricey die with only one size option OR….of course, you can use your fabulous Inspiration to cut them in a multitude of colors, shapes and sizes. I’ll let you decide which sounds more economical, more versatile and more individualized.
