DIY Patriotic Photo Clip Block
The Americana Digital Paper Pack inspired me to make this project. I really like this paper pack for its slightly muted tones and festive patterns. I thought it would be fun to create a dimensional photo holder using wood scraps I had on hand (mine was 9.75 inch by 6.25) that I could use for the Independence Day holiday to display family photos from past years.
Resize and Customize
You could certainly resize this or adapt it to a scrapbook page or a book cover for a fun July-themed memory book. I created this project from Pazzles Library files in the United States Album and the God Bless the USA Title using the digital papers in the Americana Digital Paper PackUnited States Album I created sections of the USA based on the regions West, Mid-west, South and East which are included in the Patriotic Block Decor project file.
Create the Clip Using Your Home State
You can choose any state you like from the United States Collection; I chose Washington. Choose your state or the state of someone to whom you wish to gift this project. You could add an additional clip to the back of the block opposite the state block in order to hold two photos. You should be able to finish up this project in under an hour. Supplies:
9.75 inch by 6.25 inch block of wood
Chunk of wood, 2×4 square or triangle
Glue dots
E6000 adhesive
Glue stick
Dimensional foam stickers
8.5×11 sheet white cardstock – 4 sheets
Metal craft wire: 1 16-inch length EACH of red, silver and blue craft wire
Small clothespin (1.75 inch by ¼ inch approximately)
