Test Cutting is Important

Test cutting is a must when it comes to paper crafting with your Inspiration. Just recently I was creating a project and was lucky enough to find the perfect patterned paper to make my card, but I only had one sheet left! I needed to make sure that it not only would cut great but that the file I had created didn’t have any mistakes as well. The problem was I couldn’t remember what settings I used to cut through that paper in the past. So I decided I better use some scrap paper and test cut my file first to make sure all the pieces assembled correctly. I also wanted to make sure that when I got ready to cut my project using my last piece of patterned paper that the settings I used would give me a nice, clean cut. So I put a small circle in the upper right hand corner about the size of a quarter and test cut my paper to make sure my pressure and blade length were set correctly. I was thankful I did this because the paper I was using was the last of that paper line. If I didn’t ensure my settings were correct I would have ended up having to start all over again with a different color scheme to my project and hopefully find paper that I liked just as much. I always recommend that you run a test cut using scrap pieces of paper. The paper you save might not be enough to create full page overlays, but scrap pieces of paper come in handy to ensure the projects you create piece together well when you get ready to use your favorite papers.
