More times than I care to admit I will come in and find I’ve forgot to turn my Inspiration off after I left work. I turned my computer off, but I forgot to turn my Inspiration off. The next morning, I’ll turn on my computer and start working on a project but when I send it to my Inspiration, the Inspiration doesn’t cut and my software sits as if it is “thinking” but nothing happens. The reason this happens is because when you turn your computer off the line of communication between your Inspiration and the computer is severed. They are trying to talk to each other but can’t and so nothing happens. To re-establish communication all you need to do is turn your Inspiration off and back on again. So remember, if you get no response from the Inspiration after you’ve sent a cut job, check to see if the lights are flashing. Flashing lights means that the Inspiration and your computer ARE talking, and your cutting will begin shortly. If the lights are NOT flashing, try turning your Inspiration off and back on again and resend your project to cut. It isn’t the end of the world if you forget to turn off your Inspiration (though you should try to remember to turn it off!). If you do forget to turn your Inspiration off, just remember to restart your Inspiration before you send a job to cut!
