Using a "Dongle" Security Key With Your Software

Before we launched the Inspiration Pro 2010 software we were carrying a version of software called “On the Go” which included a key that is called a dongle. This allowed you to open, create and save all without requiring that your Inspiration be plugged into your computer. The dongle is similar in appearance to a jump drive that plugs in to your USB ports on your computer. When the dongle is in place it allows you to be hands free from the Inspiration with the exception of cutting. The On the Go version of software was a version we had sold prior to launching the Inspiration Pro 2010 version. With the Pro 2010 version the requirements of having a dongle were eliminated. That means that you just need to install the program, walk through the one time registration process online, and click on the icon on your desktop to launch the software. For those of you who have recently upgraded to the Inspiration Pro 2010 software, having a key isn’t necessary for you. We do still offer a version of the Inspiration Pro software that includes a dongle, but this is only for special circumstances such as not having internet access to walk through the online registration process.
