Cut And Paste Sketches

Cut And Paste Sketches: Just ...

I like to have a few all purpose cards on hand for the times when I need a card quick. Today's Cut And Paste Sketch can fill in for a birthday, a get well card, or anything else you might need last minute. The Just For You sentiment applies to any occasion. The sentiment is cut from the top layer so whatever paper you have placed underneath shows through. Try a brightly colored patterned paper for a fun look. Add a character or a floral design on the circle piece, or add a die cut shape in place of the circle.

Cut And Paste Sketches: Finally ...

Today's sketch is perfectly timed to help you out with that stack of freshly printed fall photos. I've included an option for a 5 x 7 photo or two smaller 3 x5 photos. Attach a few of the leaves to the tree, then sprinkle the rest along the bottom of the layout. When I'm using sequins or small embellishments and want them to look random, I actually do sprinkle them on the page and then glue them down where they land. It helps achieve that truly random look.

Cut And Paste Sketches: Pocket ...

Today's sketch is a pocket gift card holder that doubles as a tag. Hang it on a gift bag, or directly on the Christmas tree as a Christmas morning surprise. Remove the snowflake from the cutting file, tie the tag around a bottle of wine, and it is a perfect hostess gift for a Thanksgiving invite. Have fun creating with this week's sketch and be sure and share your creations with us on Facebook or in the gallery albums!

Cut And Paste Sketches: You ...

Highlighting everyday moments is just as important as scrapbooking holidays and birthdays. This single page layout sketch is meant to do just that. This layout can be adapted to almost any theme where the photo subject is close up and strutting his or her stuff. My daughter is a natural born actress and I have so many photos that will fit this page, it will be hard to choose.

Cut And Paste Sketches:Speech Bubble ...

Today's card sketch is perfect for cute critters and clever sentiments. Use the round spot to add a stamped or paper pieced character. The speech bubble is the perfect place to add a fun sentiment to finish off the card. Use your Pazzles Pen Tool, rubber stamp sentiments, stickers, or hand write your message. Share with me in the comments clever character and sentiment pairings you've seen such as a deer and the saying 'Oh deer-I missed your birthday', or a penguin and 'Have an ice day.'

Cut And Paste Sketches: Blessed ...

November brings out the thankful heart in many of us. We pause to reflect on our blessings and what we are thankful for in our lives. This double page layout will help you get the ball rolling for your month of gratitude. The second page of the layout is intended to be a list of everyday things you are thankful for. Use the strips for journaling or leave them as decorative elements and add more photos.

Cut And Paste Sketches: Snowflake ...

Although this may send some of you into a stress induced panic, Christmas is on it's way! If you plan to send out handmade Christmas cards, now is the time to get started. I did the math and if I make five cards a week for the next eight weeks I will have enough cards to send out. I make this plan every year and end up ordering photo cards two days before Christmas and sending them out late. It is perfectly fine to send out photo cards, unless you are me, and everyone knows that making cards is your thing! Oh the pressure! Does anyone else feel this way?

Cut And Paste Sketches: Autumn ...

Scrapbook layout and card sketches are a great starting point for well designed, quick projects. Many sites offer sketch ideas, but they still involve measuring and hand cutting. I like to let my Inspiration do as much of the work as possible, so I often design my layouts and cards in the Inspiration Studio Software first and then cut them out.
