Will you match someone up with a cabin mate or is that something I need to do myself?
From the Cruise and Crop ladies: “On each cruise, we start a ‘Roommate Wanted’ list. For this list, we just collect their contact information. When we have two people on the list, we give them each other’s phone numbers. Then they call each other and discuss if they think that they will be compatible and want to room together. It is entirely up to them. If they call us and book a cabin together, we know that it worked out. If not, then we leave them on list until we get another person looking for a roommate.”
The cruise fare is based on me sharing a cabin, if I want my own cabin, how much extra is the fare?
From the Cruise and Crop ladies: The cruise line charges two cruise fares, one port charge and one tax for a single occupancy cabin. The $249 Pazzles class fee is charged only to those who are attending classes — non-crafting spouses or friends don’t have to pay that. On this cruise, based on the current rates, the rate would be:
- • Category M – Inside: Single Fare (one person in cabin): $505 plus $109 taxes = $614.
Plus Pazzles Class fee of $249 = $863 - • Category F – Ocean View: Single Fare (one person in cabin): $589 plus $109 taxes = $698.
Plus Pazzles Class fee of $249 = $947 - • Category E1 – Balcony: Single Fare (one person in cabin): $629 plus $109 taxes and = $738.
Plus Pazzles Class fee of $249 = $987 - • Category D1 – Balcony: Single Fare (one person in cabin): $689 plus $109 taxes = $798.
Plus Pazzles Class fee of $249 = $1047
All of the above rates are subject to change. Please call Cruise and Crop for current rates.
What does the Class registration fee cover?
This is a teaching retreat. Your $249 fee covers the classes, kits and materials, and goody bags.
How soon should I make the reservation?
As soon as possible. The cruise line offers us a special rate and holds a block of rooms for our group. They usually require us to release the block hold prior to the cruise. After that date you are not guaranteed a cabin.
Is there an incentive for signing up early?
Yes! We are giving the first 20 to sign up an extra goody! They will receive our newest Pazzles CD as soon as it is released!! (It is so secret we haven’t even announced what it is yet. Shhh!)
Who do I contact if I have more questions about the cruise?
Call Gail Pastor or Cheri Thomas at (800) 645-1481 (United States Only)
Citrus County & Canadian residents call (352) 527-8473
or email them at: info@cruiseandcrop.com
How many classes are there?
We will be teaching a minimum of 5 – 6 sessions. There will be some separate classes for beginner and advanced users.
Do I need a computer?
Yes, the lessons are hands on and you should have a laptop computer for the classes. If you are coming with a friend, you can also share with them but it is not recommended.
Do I need my Inspiration or Pro (professional size) cutter?
It is recommended that you bring your Inspiration on the cruise. We will have 1 or 2 Inspiration cutters available for use in the back of the room for those who cannot bring theirs. However, you will get the maximum benefit from the retreat if you have both a computer and your Inspiration with you.
Why do you require I have the Inspiration Studio Pro software?
The teachers will use the Pro software as they teach. There are many features that are new and there are several that are improved in the Pro software. We have found that the majority of our attendees already own the Pro software. In order to make sure everyone can follow along it is best that we all use the same software.
I am a beginner. Will I be able to keep up?
Yes, we make sure to include the basics and build on them as we move along . We also allocate time for one on one help from the teachers. We have created a video, What to Know before You Go, that you should watch before attending. We don’t expect you to be proficient with the skills shown in the video but it will help you to be familiar with them.
Is there anything else I should know before attending the classes?
You should be familiar with basic computer skills: how to open a file; how to save a file and find it; how to do a search on the internet (Google or Bing for instance). It would be helpful if you know how to download a file from the internet.
Are there goody bags and door prizes?
Absolutely! Each attendee receives a generous goody bag packed full of all the materials needed to make all the class projects plus other special treats. There are also fabulous door prizes!
Is there time to crop?
Yes, the cruise will offer you many opportunities work on the projects from the classes as well as your own scrapbook pages and cards. Teaching days will be our days at sea but the room will also be available at other times during the cruise.
What kind of supplies do I need to bring?
This list will change as the classes are planned. You will be emailed a list of supplies prior to the cruise.
- • A paper cutter/slicer
- • A strong liquid adhesive and a tape runner
- • Hand scissors
- • A good mat and an extra blade
