Every other Monday I have the opportunity to play with the new Cutting Collection and create something fun. These Collections are always amazing and we cannot wait to share them with you, but today’s Collection is one of my favorites.
You might be familiar with Luann’s Famous People and Fictional Characters that are added to the Library occasionally. This sweet little nativity is made with the same adorable style and features Three Wise Men, Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus, along with an angel and a shepherd boy. Also included is a camel, a donkey, three sheep, and a stable to house them all in.
For today’s project, I used 8″ x 10″ canvas boards attached to some burlap ribbon with a hot glue gun to create the wall hanging. I started by applying some patterned paper to the boards with Mod Podge. The pieced characters were all chalked before I put them together. I used Pop Dots on a few of the pieces to add dimension.
If you are still one gift short for Christmas, this would be a great last-minute gift, or make it for yourself to enjoy for years to come. This collection would also make an adorable refrigerator Nativity set. Simply attach magnets to the back of the pieces!
