The pink, frilly cuteness of Valentine’s Day doesn’t always make it easy to come up with boy-friendly ideas. Yesterday Klo shared her robot, and today we have another Valentine perfectly suited for the little boys in your life. This nice little monster comes with three separate “monster” sentiments which can be attached to the Valentine. The recipient can take off the sentiment and play with the monster finger puppet. The finger holes could also hold a long candy or a pencil.
If you have monster-loving girls, have no fear. Monsters can come in pink too. Just change the colors, and remove the moustache. You can always add a bow like the Button Bow Tag from the Library.

Very Cute. Also Thank You for putting the items needed in a list not thru the discription.
Love it!
Michelle, this was a great hit today: I used this file, and adjusted three more monster files to become finger puppets, cut them out, and my favourite three year old and I glued them together, painted them with spots and had a wonderful time playing finger puppet monsters… and then I needed a nana-nap.
Thanks for sharing that Misty! I’m so glad it was just what you needed! My kids are pretty excited about them too.
I’m a researcher in Cambridge and I find your puppet prototype very intriguing. As I’m preparing for a presentation on social play and preschool children, I wonder if I could cite this puppet with hand image?
I just love this little guy. I’m going to have so much fun making his little face (s). Love being a big kid.
