Are you excited for Virtual University? Take a look at the Beginners Course Supply List!

We are so excited for the first ever Pazzles Virtual Course! Check out the list of supplies that you will need for the classes—don’t some of the projects look very tempting? If you haven’t signed up yet, you should do so soon! August is just around the corner.

In the meantime it is time to start gathering your materials! We are not requiring you to use any specific colors or prints of cardstock. Rather, we are giving you a general idea of the types of cardstock that will work with the projects. You may prefer a more masculine look or you may not want to use any printed cardstock at all. You can choose to buy cardstock specifically for the projects or use this as an opportunity to use those you already have on hand as a stash-buster.

Computer Requirements

  • • A computer
  • • Internet connection
  • • Speakers or a headset
  • • Printer
  • • Optional but helpful: Web cam (can be in your computer but a separate/external one is preferable so that it can be moved to show your project or cutter more easily.)
  • • Optional but helpful: Microphone (which can be inside your computer or separate)

General Supplies For All Projects

Individual Class Supplies

Understanding Paper

Please have several sheets of either WorldWin ColorMates cardstock or Bazzill Basics Smoothies cardstock. This will be your base paper. Once you know what pressure and blade length to cut this paper with, you will have an easier time determining what to use with other papers. It is important that you have one of these papers.

Our projects include both cards, dimensionals and scrapbook pages. Not a card maker? You can adapt the project to make a scrapbook page. Not a scrapbooker? Use the elements to make a card. Better yet, do the projects as designed and you may discover a new outlet for your creativity!!

Please Note: We have listed most papers at the 12 x 12 size. You will not always need a full 12 x 12 sheet but we do not want you to discover you are short on one important paper.

I can’t wait. I am registered and was just sent this list by email. I started gathering the materials for each project already, and making a list of the items I need to purchase. I am so excited because time constraints don’t allow me to participate in “real world” retreats.

  • Deborah Jennings

I am in able to take the course at that time but if I register would I be able to access the site and do the courses when I am able? Do I need to be part of the big group or will I be able to work on my own?

  • Judith Mott

I am a very concrete thinker so I am having a hard time picking papers as I don’t know what the finished project is supposed to look like. In order to relieve a little stress about this (since this is also my very first attempt at this type of class)I am going with the attitude that it is the concept and not the project that I need to concentrate on. I am really excited about this and can’t wait to start.

Judith, you are going in with the EXACT right attitude. While the projects will be fun and creative, it is the concept and actual application we want you to learn, so that you can learn the freedom of creating your own stuff. Deborah, I don’t know the answer to your question yet, we will get back to you on that.

I am getting so excited for the Virtual University, especially after talking to so many awesome ladies at the show this weekend. I can hardly wait.

Judith, you have a great attitude and you will not be disappointed, I promise. If I can give you any advice in picking papers, use the pictures we posted as guidelines but choose papers that make you happy and speak to you.:)
