Decorate Office Folders with Patterned Paper

Thanks for joining the Design Team for Organization week. It’s time to wrap it up and I’ve got a fun project to share with you today. I’ve wanted to make these decorated file folders for a long time and I finally had the perfect reason to do so. Being organized is a great feeling, but being organized with cute office supplies is even better.

For the larger file folders, I’ve created covers that you can adhere on the front and inside of pre-purchased file folders. I tested three kinds of file folders and they all seemed standard, so these should work on all brands of file folders. The labels simply fold in half and adhere to the folder tab. I used Chalkboard Vinyl for the write-on portion of my label. That way I can reorganize and change my mind without tossing the folder.

Of course I knew this set also needed some mini file folders. The entire folder cuts from a sheet of paper. You can choose to include labels on these or not. I thought these would be cute to organize printed photos or recipe cards.

I have one more tip to share that I saw on Pinterest. You can use an inexpensive dish drying rack to store your decorated file folders. Such a cute idea!
