Summer Santa

Ever been so inspired you simply have to create and have to NOW? I think it is the artist in all of us that pushes through every now and then. Musicians wake up in the middle of the night to write a song sometimes. Is it really any more odd that we sometimes get the undeniable urge to craft? I say no! It sounds to me like craft room member, Miztaken, had one of those moments while creating this awesome Santa tag for her Secret Santa at work. She got so engrossed in creating this cool little man that she forgot to move! That’s ok though Miztaken, you are an artist and Inspiration called (pun intended :)!). Thanks for sharing such a cute project!

I want to work out the cutting file for the slider card component first, and then will happily share.
Thank you for your compliments – I am smitten with him too.

I absolutely love this! It would make a fantastic Christmas card. If you decide to share the file, I would love to try it.

Hi I fell in love with your summer santa and was wondering if you could send me directions on how to assemble the slider mechanism as i cut out the file but cant figure out how to work it…thanks so much.

I haven’t actually made it but looking at it I think that you would glue the “top half” of santa to that small rectangle band. So you’d glue his head, arms, and shirt to that. Then you would slip the ends of the band through the slits in the card. Assemble the bottom half and slip it underneath the band. I’d then glue the ends of the band down on the back of the card just tight enough so that the slider wouldn’t slip out unless pulled.
