Mother’s Day Easel Card

The easel cards that have become popular recently seemed perfect for a Mother’s Day card.  I love the idea of having a card that is also a keepsake to be displayed and enjoyed.  While searching for ideas, the soft florals and scallops that are prevalent in the UK right now kept popping up. I knew they would make the card even more special.

This easel card is scallop shaped and will fold flat to slip inside of a 6″ x 6″ envelope. So even if Mum is hundreds of miles away, you can tell her how wonderful she is. To add the butterfly scroll and the “for Mum”, I used one of my favorite pens. The Stardust line of pens from Sakura have a dusting of sparkle that is really delicate. It is not like a glitter pen, it is more sparkly like a dusting of stardust.

Add a few rhinestones and your Mom or Mum is sure to want to leave this card on display for a long time. Whenever she looks at it, she will remember just how much you love her.

PS- Lucky for you, the Stardust pens are a Crafty Shopper special for all Craft Room members! Be sure and check it out. Supplies at the special price are limited so don’t delay. Click here to check out the special deal. Don’t forget that you will need to log in to the store to be able to view this members only deal!

Here is the recipe and cutting files! I have included the text both as “Mom” or “Mum” so that everyone can enjoy the file!

This is a very cute card. I tried several ways to open it but none of them work. Boo Hoo

    Velina,
I am not sure why you cannot open the files. You should click on the file and then save it to your desktop or folder on your computer.

The recipe will be a PDF document of instructions. The cutting file will need to be opened in the Inspiration Studio Software.
