I was inspired to make this card for my mother because riding in a hot air balloon is on her bucket list. Of course, when I found a coupon for a hot air balloon ride and I needed a gift for my mother I had the perfect gift…I just needed the perfect card. Well, that was pretty easy with the Inspiration. I just found several pictures of hot air balloons that I liked and pulled elements from each until I came up with this lovely card. I have gotten so used to having the freedom to create whatever I want on the Inspiration I tend to kind of forget how “the rest of the world” lives! Shaped cards like this one are super easy to make. I made a video a while back on shaped cards so if you haven’t seen it I am including it with this blog so that the next time you need a special card for a special gift you will know exactly how to make it!

Thank you for sharing this file. I was going to make a hot air balloon for a scrapbook that I am making about my favorite things. There may be no photos in the book…just stubs and such. Well, one of my favorite units that I taught while still a teacher was on the Wizard of Oz….and the kids loved it. We even had a big box with a big sheet rigged for the balloon. So, I wanted to work on that page….and here you made one already! So, thank you!

I have some quick advice, you and your Mom should take a ride in a balloon together!!For many years I wanted to take a balloon ride, when I was almost 50, my daughter paid for the two of us!We both have WONDERFUL memories of that experience..
