Origami Pinwheel and Card
As promised I am doing another origami project! I really wanted to find a cute origami pinwheel for the 4th of July and when I saw this one I knew it was the one. Unfortunately…the instructions might as well have been in Russian! So after much wrestling and a little help from my coworkers I figured out how it went together and then made a much better set of instructions for all of you. Your pain is my gain!
Makes the Perfect Summer Card
I decided to go with non-traditional 4th of July colors and I really love how it turned out. I also included several different phrases to use such as “Happy Birthday”, “For You”, and “Celebrate” so don’t think of this as JUST a 4th of July project. I thought the larger pinwheel turned out adorable! Mine is just stationary on a dowel however it should work just fine as a real pinwheel if you use a pin and a straw to construct it instead of a dowel and glue. I hope you enjoy this project!

Thanks Amanda. I love doing your projects. I will enjoy this one 🙂
you solved a big problem.son-in-law has a 4th of July birthday. He’ll love this card! Thanks
I love it! I am actually going to use this for a graduation card.
I’ve always loved origami. Making it with two sided paper for this pinwheel is really neat.!
Glad you like it Linda! A lot of the patterns I saw out there didn’t show both sides of the paper on the finished pinwheel so I was really happy about this one!
