Valentine Candy Tube Stand

Valentine Candy Tubes with Candy Tube Stand

What I really love about the Pazzles Craft Room is the huge variety of cutting files available. Even better, you can use elements from different cutting files and resize them so they fit the project that you have in mind. I am no good at designing cutting files myself from scratch, but as I learn the software I am able to tweak the designs to suit me.

So, for this month’s Design Team project I knew I wanted to make a Candy Tube Holder Box. I found the Pencil Holder cutting file and tweaked the lid to hold my Candy Tubes. This was easily done, by measuring a circle aperture needed to fit the tubes. I was able to get an exact measurement using my InVue software and cut out the holes and then add a scalloped circle using red cardstock. I resized the box slightly and cut it out of Kraft card. I created additional panels for the patterned paper and inked up the edges of the paper before adhering to the main box.

I used the hearts from the Love This title, with coordinating cardstock which I layered using craft foam squares for the front of my box. I added some ribbon and paper flowers from my stash.

At the last minute I decided to add some toppers to my Hershey Kisses. I Print and Cut the circle toppers with the InVue software using a heart that I resized from the Love This title and Lips Prints cutting files found in the Library.

Now, I think I will have to hide this project from my husband till Valentine’s Day, what do you think?
