Vintage Mail Kit

Snail Mail, though less commonly used today, it is still quite relevant among crafters and stationery lovers. Not only is it a fun way to keep in touch with someone but it is an amazing way to exchange ideas. I got in touch with some amazing crafters around the world, and decided to start my snail mail this month. I have been collecting a few vintage paper packs and wanted a box to store them together. In this quest, I created a snail mail kit with a vintage theme that will help inspire me to write some amazing letters to my pen pals around the world. This project is a piece to treasure!

I picked my color palette as brown, black and cream, coordinated with some pattern papers to go with the theme. It is very helpful if you organize your thoughts and create a blue print to understand how you will coordinate the papers. I have used slightly thick brown cardstock as the base, glued the pattern papers and then folded them to make the final structure.

I love how there is a small address book to jot down all the addresses of my pen pals! It’s my favorite in the entire set. There is also a small envelope to hold your collection of stamps, adorable isn’t it? Considering the busy paper, I decided to cut the monotony with a brown ribbon and some flowers. I hope this project inspires you to make your beautiful version of snail mail kit very soon!
