Spring is Here Card

Spring is just around the corner, and it’s time to play with all those beautiful bright colors. When you say spring, you think flowers and that’s exactly what our project is today, flowers with foamiran sheets. And with those beautiful flowers, I tried my hands on a shabby chic style card.

I have been cutting paper flowers for long and wanted to try out a new material for flowers. After a lot of trial and error and some expert advice from our very own Julie, I got it right. Few pointers to note before you start. Please use a new mat and a new blade and try out a few pressure settings before you cut the final flower. I used white color foam, then fuzzy cut the edges with a scissor and colored the petals with distress inks. Voila! Made the prettiest flower ever.

I am smitten by the shabby chic card style and careful built elements to get the beautiful layout. I used a lot of pieces from my craft stack and went step by step to ensure I have a cream and green color palette that will compliment each other. Then I added a lovely sentiment to bring out life in the card!

Materials Used:
1mm White foam sheets
Chipboard
Jute/Burlap Ribbon
Ephemera Collection of card stock
Art Ribbon Silver Wire
CardStock from Paper Designer(not sure if it is available in US)
