Treat Tackle Box

A clever, custom, quick and affordable gift that anyone would love – no seriously, I am half tempted to keep this one for myself! Just get a tackle box and snag a bobber from the same section of the store while you are there, a little vinyl, and a whole lot of little treats!

This really is a 15 minute project once you’ve got your supplies. I just measured the area I wanted my vinyl saying to go, cut it and transferred it using transfer tape and I was done! So easy!

My tackle box says “You are OUR favorite fish in the sea” but I have also included an alternate version that says “You are MY favorite fish in the sea.” This is great for birthday’s, Father’s Day, as a thank you, or for Valentine’s. Really, is there ever a wrong time to give someone a box of candy??

I filled this tackle box with fishing themed treats but I also wanted a variety of flavors so I got some sour Trolli octopus, Swedish fish in two flavors, gummi worms, and goldfish in cheddar and pretzels. Really you can put anything inside and it is a great way to get your kids involved in creating the gift!

The fish is cut out of digital paper from our School Daze Digital Paper Pack and strung through some twine. Once it was all wrapped around and before I tied the bow I added the two little 1″ bobbers. They aren’t necessary but I feel like it really completes the look. All totaled this gift cost me about $10 to make with some treats leftover!

Supplies:
Tackle Box (found mine in the fishing section at Walmart)
Small candies/treats
Twine
Small scrap of black vinyl
Scrap of paper for fish
2 1″ bobbers (optional – found mine in the fishing section at Walmart)
