Summer Luminaries

For summer parties these luminaries would be a great way to line your entrance or use as decoration on top of a table. I used Klo’s 3D lunch sack from the Pazzles Craft Room Library for the actual luminary.

I modified the Beautiful Blossoms flowers and other designs from the Pazzles Craft Room Library, by removing the outline so it cuts just the design. You can choose different designs from the craft room to match your party designs. I have included four different designs and used battery operated tea light candles to make them safe.

After cutting your design out, simply fold and glue together. I used the tape runner to adhere the sides together and liquid glue for the bottoms.

I also glued a piece of vellum to the inside of the decorated pieces to give a nice look when they are lighted.

After all assembled, I put sand in plastic bags to weight the luminaries down and hold them in place.  Then I put the tea lights on top.

Note: I prefer changing my dash lines to solid lines and using my embossing tool to create the score lines. This makes my fold lines very nice.

I love how easy this is and just makes me love them more.  I hope you enjoy yours as well.
