Do you ever need an envelope for a project that is just a bit too thick for a regular envelope? This envelope is perfect for those thicker 6”x6” cards. The special thing about this envelope are the expanding or “gusseted” sides that allow for extra room. You will find this especially useful for cards with dimensional decorations (like paper flowers) that make the card extra thick.
In addition, this expanding envelope has a eyelet and daisy lace border on the flap that will let your recipient know this card is extra special!
On the other hand, if you will be hand delivering your card, you can go a step farther and add the lovely 3D foam daisy to the envelope to give it some added elegance. You could mail it with the foam flower as well but you will need to put it in a box before mailing.
I have really enjoyed using foam to create my flowers as it gives them a unique softness that you can’t get from paper. Once you try it out, I am sure you will love this technique as well! There are instructions included in the download below that explain how I create this pretty flower using thin foam sheets. If you are not sure where to get thin foam sheets, I have included a link in the supply list as well!
I hope you enjoy using this expanding envelope and the foam flower!
